"Fairness That Shines"
In a small village suffering from a long drought, the people were struggling to find enough water to survive. The fields were dry, and everyone was just trying to get through each day.
One day, a wealthy merchant arrived in the village and said, "Is there anyone here who can help me? My boat is stuck, and I need assistance carrying my goods."
The villagers, though kind, were too exhausted and focused on their own survival to offer help.
But a young boy named Than stepped forward and said, "I’ll help you, but in return, can you do something to bring water back to our village?"
The merchant thought for a moment and then smiled. "You’re wise, young one. I do have a way to help."
He hired workers to reopen the old water channels that had been blocked for years. Soon, water flowed back into the village, bringing life to the fields. The villagers rejoiced as their crops could grow again.
The merchant, grateful for Than’s help, rewarded him and said, "You have the heart of a true leader—one who seeks fairness for all."
Not long after, rain began to fall, ending the drought for good. The villagers celebrated, and Than became a respected figure in the community.
Moral of the story: Sometimes, true fairness is not about one person winning, but about finding a way for everyone to benefit.
