Jim Sarbh is somewhat misplaced because the Sultan's slave-general, unable to come up with enough menace to overshadow his master's own. still, the ensemble moves well in tune with Bhansali's vision of this epic retelling.
The director's experience in intensifying wealthiness and grandeur is well-known, more distinguishable in 3D. camera operator Sudeep Chatterjee compliments him by superbly capturing some jaw-dropping scenery. However, the consequences within the action/ war scenes do not meet the expectations raised by a movie of this scale. Also, the songs do not do a lot of to more the narrative apart from providing visual delight. Granted, it may do with a tauter script associated shorter run-time however 'Padmaavat' is an entertaining , giant canvas expertise, dropped at life with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's stroke of visual brilliance.
