Introduction
Robin Sharma is an expert on motivation, leadership and personal development. In addition to writing, he conducts seminars and lectures around the world and is a regular contributor to CBC and CBS radio and television programs, and his speeches have been published in such well-known publications as USA Today, National Post and The Globe and Mail.
The parable book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, has been published in 18 countries in more than 15 languages and is a national bestseller in the United States. It tells us the extraordinary story of Julian Mantle, a millionaire lawyer in a spiritual crisis. His immersion in ancient culture changes his life; he discovers actionable, wise practical knowledge that teaches him to think joyfully; to live according to his calling; to realize the power of his mind and act with courage; to save time; to value his relationships with others; to live in the present. R. Sharma's book - a kind of textbook on self-management, the effective formula for true success and happiness. It's never too late to stop and start over, as did a successful lawyer who sold his Ferrari. Robin Sharma's message can really change our lives.
How do you make your way to the hospital?
A sign to wake up
Julian Mantle was one of the most respected lawyers in the country. Hardy, energetic, and assertive, he worked 18 hours a day for success. At Julian's invitation, I joined his firm. I admit that working with him was not easy: Julian was asked to handle more and more serious and interesting cases, and he put in more and more work. He couldn't sleep more than a couple of hours without waking up feeling guilty about not working on the case papers, and he was consumed with a thirst for more - even more prestige, fame, and money. He'd achieved everything most people dreamed of, but there was always some big case coming up, even bigger than the last one. Julian was never satisfied with anything. Eventually his marriage fell apart, he stopped communicating with his father, and while anyone could have dreamed of his financial well-being, he never found what he was looking for. At the age of 53, Julian looked like an old man. As a result of monstrous stress and stressful lifestyle his face furrowed with deep wrinkles. He got obscenely fat from restaurant meals. He cried all the time that he was tired of his fatigue. Julian had lost his sense of humor and seemed forever unable to laugh. Almost every day he told me that he had lost his taste for work, that there was nothing around. And then a massive heart attack brought the brilliant Julian Mantle down to earth and reminded him of the frailty of his own existence.
Mysterious visitor
During the general meeting, the manager informed the staff that Julian had decided to leave the firm and give up the practice of law for good. I was shocked. We had a good relationship, but he wouldn't even let me visit him in the hospital and refused to return my calls. Three years later Julian went on some kind of expedition to India, which was the last I heard of him.
One day the receptionist said that a visitor insisted on seeing me. When the door swung open, a smiling man in his thirties stood behind her. Tall, lean, and muscular, he radiated vitality and energy. A deep serenity gave him something almost divine. Julian? He couldn't be! Where had the dead complexion, the unhealthy cough, and the lifeless eyes of my former colleague gone? And with them the senile look and cynical look? The man in front of me looked remarkably healthy, his blue eyes glowing with inner vitality. But even more amazing was the inner serenity that radiated from him. The man in front of me was young, full of energy, and smiling, the embodiment of change.
Julian Mantle's Miraculous Transformation
Julian told me that the legal world had exhausted him not only physically and emotionally, but also spiritually. The frantic pace had exhausted him. His body was literally falling apart and his mind had lost its luster. The heart attack was just a symptom of a deeper problem. The constant pressure and rigorous schedule of a world-class lawyer had broken the most important-and perhaps most human-of his spirit. The doctor put him before a choice - either the practice of law or life. Julian sold off all his possessions and traveled to India, a country whose ancient culture and mystical traditions had always fascinated him. He traveled from one tiny village to another, learning new traditions, contemplating timeless, timeless landscapes; gradually he came to love the Indians, from whom came warmth, kindness, and a life-giving faith in the true meaning of life. In this enchanting environment the days would merge into weeks, and Julian gradually began to feel alive and whole again, joyful and peaceful. He often heard of Indian monks who lived more than a hundred years and yet remained young, energetic, alert, of yogis who had mastered the art of mind control and spiritual awakening. And the more he saw, the more he sought to understand the driving forces behind the mysteries of human nature, hoping to apply the wisdom of these mysteries to his own life.
In Kashmir Julian met the caretaker of a village temple named Yog Krishnan, who had also once been a lawyer. Julian told him of his lust for wealth and obsession with work, of his inner contradictions and spiritual crisis, and described all that he had experienced. And then Yogi Krishnan told him that high in the Himalayas lived mysterious sages who discovered a system that could significantly transform the quality of life of any person. The local peasants call them the Great Sages of Sivana, and no one knows where they live. Sivana means "oasis of insight." The next morning Julian set out in search of the lost land. The majesty of the snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas made his heart beat faster, and once he even took his breath away for a while: never before had Julian seen such beauty. He suddenly felt joy, revitalization and a release from all worries. He realized that his life would never be the same again, and it was an amazing awakening. After a while Julian noticed, out of the corner of his eye, a figure. He called out to the traveler, but the man did not answer, but walked faster up the path. Then he stopped abruptly. A glint of sunlight flashed across the man's face, hidden beneath the thick hood. He'd never seen anyone like him before, his olive-colored skin smooth and supple. Though his hands betrayed his youth, he exuded freshness and vitality. The traveler was silent and spoke again only after Julian had told him of his desire to know the ancient principles of clairvoyance. The traveler turned out to be one of the wise men of Siwana. He invited Julian to the temple and told him that together with the other monks he would teach him the ancient principles and traditions. The sage then made Julian promise to return to the West and share his wisdom with all who would listen to him.
A Wonderful Encounter with the Sages of Siwana
After many hours of walking along tangled, grassy paths, they reached a tiny village. At its center stood a tiny temple of scarlet, white, and pink flowers. Around the temple were scattered tiny huts, the humble dwellings of sages. Julian's companion named Yogi Raman was the oldest sage of Siwana and the head of the community. The inhabitants of this fabulous place looked strikingly young, and their movements were confident and graceful.
Everyone did their work in silence. Everyone was busy and looked happy. No one had wrinkles or gray hair, and no one showed signs of aging. Julian spent practically all his time in class with Raman. Raman taught Julian ancient principles that anyone can apply to live longer, stay younger and be much happier. Julian also learned that two inseparable qualities - power over himself and responsibility for his actions - would keep him from returning to the chaos of life in the West. Three weeks later Julian began to notice the beauty of the most ordinary things. His new lifestyle and the new habits it created began to have a profound effect on his inner world. After applying sage principles and techniques for a month, Julian began to develop a sense of deep peace and inner serenity. His body, which had once been overweight, became strong and lean, and his face, which had previously been painfully pale, began to glow with health. He realized that external success meant nothing unless it was accompanied by internal success.
The Art of Transforming Yourself
At the heart of the whole system of Sivana were seven fundamental virtues, seven fundamental principles that encapsulated the mysteries of self-control and spiritual illumination. They were set forth in a magic parable. Julian told me to imagine such a picture:
"You are sitting in the middle of a majestic lush green garden. The garden is full of amazing flowers. You enjoy the sensual loveliness of this garden as if you have an eternity at your disposal. As you look around, you notice a red lighthouse towering in the center of the garden. Suddenly the silence of the garden is broken by the creaking of a door at the base of the lighthouse. A naked Japanese sumo wrestler, three meters tall and weighing half a ton, comes out swinging and heads for the center of the garden. His private parts are covered by a twisted pink wire. Moving around the garden, the sumo wrestler finds a shiny gold stopwatch. He picks it up, falls to the ground with a deafening noise, and lies - silent and motionless. But then the wrestler comes to his senses, rushes to his feet with new strength and involuntarily looks to his left: through the bushes that surround the garden one can see a long winding path covered with sparkling diamonds. The wrestler treads the path, and it leads him to the road of everlasting joy and eternal bliss.
What really divides people into optimists by nature and pessimists is their perception of life circumstances
Julian told me that at first this parable may not seem serious, but, in fact, every element of it embodies the eternal principle of a fulfilling life and has the deepest meaning. The garden, the lighthouse, the sumo wrestler, the pink wire, the stopwatch, the roses, and the winding path studded with diamonds are symbols of the seven virtues that lead to an enlightened life. If you follow the basic truths contained in the parable, you will possess everything you need to elevate your life to the very heights.
The most unusual garden
Telling me that you don't have time to work on your thoughts and your life is like telling me that you don't have time to put gas in an empty tank because you have to drive faster. It's going to have to be done at some point anyway.
In this parable, the garden is a symbol of consciousness. Julian explained to me that in order to live a full life, I must stand guard at the gate of my garden and allow only the most important information in. Instead of focusing on all the good things and thinking about how to make things even better, people often become hostage to their past. Some people worry about lost relationships or financial problems. Others suffer through memories of their less-than-perfect childhoods. Others ponder sadly the more trivial things: the unkind notes in the voice of a store clerk or a co-worker. Those who set themselves up for such thoughts allow anxiety to destroy themselves. They themselves block the enormous potentialities of their consciousness, depriving it of its ability to perform miracles.
We are one hundred percent in control of our attitude toward these events. When you form the habit of looking for the positive in every circumstance, your life will move toward higher realms. All success in life begins with the thoughts that the mind generates every second of every minute of every day. By controlling your thoughts and your reaction to what happens, you begin to control your destiny. There are no mistakes in life, only lessons. There is no such thing as a negative experience, only opportunities for growth, learning and moving forward on the road of self-improvement. By constantly applying this principle to his daily life, a person begins to control his consciousness, turning every event into a positive one, and is forever free of worry. He ceases to be the prisoner of his past and becomes the architect of his future.
The secret of happiness is simple - find out what you really love to do, and give all your energy to that activity. Once you fully concentrate the power and energy of your mind on what you love, prosperity will fill your life, and all desires will be fulfilled easily and easily. All your thoughts will be directed to a specific goal, consequently, precious energy of mind will not be spent on petty thoughts.
Clocks and calendars should not be allowed to overshadow the fact that every moment of life is a miracle and a mystery!
Vanity empties us of our natural vitality and energy. Fidgeting is the cause of the drain of your mind's priceless energy and potential, like the leakage of air from a bicycle tire. Over time you have no energy left. Your creativity and optimism dry up, and a moment of exhaustion sets in. But once you find your purpose, life becomes much easier and much more fulfilling. The problem is that the brain never stops working: it's full of mental chatter. Even ten minutes of serious reflection a day will have a profound effect on the quality of your life.
The human brain is the biggest filter in the world. When you focus your thought on the main goals of your life, your mind will begin to filter out the insignificant and concentrate only on the important
There is one way of controlling the mind that surpasses all others. It is a favorite technique of the sages of Sivana and is more than four thousand years old. It is called the Heart of the Rose. All you need for this exercise is a freshly cut rose and a quiet place. It's best done surrounded by nature, but a quiet room will do. Direct your gaze into the center of the rose, into its heart. Notice its color, structure and shape. Enjoy its fragrance and think only about this beautiful creature in front of you. At first other thoughts will come to you, distracting you from the heart of the rose, but you return your attention to the object of concentration. Soon your consciousness will become stronger and more controlled. This ritual must be repeated daily - otherwise it will not work. The first few days it will be hard for you to devote even five minutes to it: most of us live at such a frantic pace that real silence and stillness sometimes become something alien. Be persistent and spend more and more time enjoying the Heart of the Rose. After one or two weeks, you will be able to do this exercise for twenty minutes, and your mind will not be distracted by other things. This will be the first sign that you are mastering your consciousness again. You will notice that you will become much calmer. This will be a significant step toward getting rid of the constant restlessness that is the bane of much of humanity. You'll gain more energy and optimism. Most importantly, you will notice that a sense of joy and appreciation for the gifts around you will return to your life.
Another very important exercise that frees you from anxiety and negative, debilitating influences is based on the principle of Opposite Thinking. Consciousness can hold only one thought at a time. Using this knowledge, anyone can easily develop their positive, creative thinking in a short period of time.
The method is very simple: as soon as a depressing thought floods your mind, immediately replace it with a thought that lifts your spirits. If you apply the principle of Opposite Thinking to all the negative thoughts that come into your head, after a week you will see that they no longer linger in your mind and lose their negative influence. Thoughts are as material objects as the lake you swim in or the street you walk on. Work hard to rid yourself of all inner restlessness.
The sages of Siwana had a wonderful way of preserving the purity and wholeness of their thoughts. This technique is called the Secret of the Lake. They would look deep into the waters of the still lake and imagine their dreams becoming reality. The mind thinks in images, images influence your view of yourself, and that view determines how you feel, how you act, how you go about your purpose. If the wide screen of your mind is filled with vivid images, wonderful things will begin to happen in your life.
The Secret of the Lake is just the name the wise men gave it. You can also use it in your living room or even at work. Lock the door, turn off the phone, and close your eyes. Then take a few deep breaths. You will notice that after two or three minutes you will relax. Then mentally visualize an image of who you want to be, what you want to achieve, what you want to have. Continuous application of this method will also reward you financially and bring prosperity, if that's so important to you. Keep beautiful pictures before the eyes of your imagination. Once you begin to experience the joy of this ancient technique, you will begin to realize the limitless possibilities of your mind and release those abilities and energies that are still dormant in you.
Symbol
In the parable, a lighthouse towered in the middle of the garden. This symbol reveals another ancient principle of the illuminated life: the purpose of life is to live with purpose. By clearly identifying the priorities and goals of every aspect of your life, you will erect a lighthouse that will show you the way and give you shelter if a sea storm rises. The real source of happiness can be summed up in one word: achievement. When you realize exactly what you want to achieve in life--materially, emotionally, physically, or spiritually--and spend your days pursuing those goals, you will eventually find eternal joy. But to do this, you must see your life's purpose and then translate that vision into reality through concrete action.
Remember, you won't find true happiness by lying in bed, resting, and idling all day long. The beacon of Raman's parable will always remind you of the necessity of finding clear, understandable goals for yourself and, most importantly, of cultivating the willpower to achieve them.
Setting a goal is the beginning of a journey. By setting your milestones and goals, you will unleash the creative energy that will lead you down your own path in life. Anyone who wants to improve both their inner and outer worlds will find it helpful to take out a piece of paper and start writing down the goals they set in life. Once this is accomplished, natural forces will come into play that will begin to turn those dreams into reality. Find your passion and then follow it. From this point on, don't forget your purpose in life for a second. Open your mind to the abundance of possibilities around you. Start living with a greater awareness of the importance of time.
The sages of Sivana have created a simple, practical and effective five-step method for achieving one's goals and fulfilling one's thoughts.
The first step is to see clearly in your mind the final result.
The second step is to put positive pressure on yourself. It can inspire you to achieve more. One kind of pressure is a public promise. Tell everyone you know that you will lose weight, or run a marathon, or accomplish any other goal. Once you've introduced your goal to the world, you'll immediately feel the pressure to get moving-because you don't want to lose in the eyes of others.
The third step is not to set goals without timing. Any goal that is not fixed on paper is not a goal at all. Buy a notebook, call it your Wish Book, and put all your thoughts, goals, and dreams in it. Divide your Wish Book into separate pages for the goals you set in different areas of your life, put images of what you want there. Go through this book every day for at least a few minutes.
The fourth step is called the Magic Rule of Twenty-One. In order for new actions to become a habit, it is necessary to perform these new actions for 21 days in a row: that is how long it takes to create new neuro-psychic connections. The ritual holds great power.
The fifth step can be applied to all situations in life. A day without laughter or a day without love is a day without life. I advise you to remember to rejoice as you walk down the road of your goals and your purpose. Never forget the importance of a life of boundless delight. Don't forget to discern the beauty of all living things. Today and this very moment as we talk is already a gift. Stay inspired, joyful, and inquisitive. Stay focused on the meaning of life and unselfish service to others. Don't regret what came before. Don't elevate the small things to the big things. Enjoy life.
There is one word that the sages spoke with reverence. It had a profound meaning for them and gave their everyday speech a special quality. That word is passion. Passion that inflames the soul is the best fuel for your desires. In our society, we have lost passion. We do things not because we love to do them, but because we feel compelled to do them. This formula condemns us to poverty. Breathe the fire of passion into everything you do. And you will quickly reap a rich spiritual and material harvest. Find your calling, and you will experience the delight of an inspired life. Finally, always remember: What is behind you and what is ahead of you are nothing compared to what is inside you.
The Ancient Art of Self-Leadership
The sumo wrestler in the parable symbolizes a very important element of the life-changing system of the Sages of Shivana. Many centuries ago, the great sages of the ancient East developed and refined the philosophy of kaizen. This Japanese word means constant and never-ending improvement. Most people are afraid of change, but wise people embrace it. Those whose minds are open to new knowledge will always move toward the highest levels of achievement and fulfillment. Never be afraid to ask yourself even the simplest questions. Questions are the most effective method of enlightened knowledge. If you take the time to cultivate a strong character full of discipline, energy, will, and optimism, you can have anything and do anything you want in your outer world. When you cultivate a deep sense of faith in your abilities and an unyielding spirit, nothing can deny you good fortune in all your endeavors and a life full of rewards.
Courage allows a man to run his own game, gives him control over himself. The only limits in your life are those you set for yourself. When you dare to step out of your circle of comfort and explore the unknown, you will begin to unleash your true possibilities. This is the first step to mastering yourself and influencing every circumstance in life. When you break through your own boundaries the way you just did, you unleash mental and physical reserves you never knew existed. Practice the art of kaizen every day with perseverance. Work persistently to improve your mind and body. Nurture your spirit. Do what you are afraid to do. Start living with energy and boundless enthusiasm. Be the person you dreamed of. Do what you always wanted to do but never did before, assuring yourself that you were too young, too old, too rich or too poor. Get ready to live an elevated, active life. Live the wisdom of kaizen, continually and continually improving every aspect of your personality. Over time, those things that seemed impossible become easy. The fears that once held you back from happiness, health and prosperity crumble like a house of cards toppled by the wind.
"The Ten Rituals of Sparkling Life
Read the right books. Learn how your predecessors dealt with the challenges that now confront you
There are ten extremely effective rituals that will lead you to the ultimate goal of the journey of personal perfection. If you apply them daily, making them daily habits, you are certain to achieve a state of perfect health, boundless energy, lasting happiness, and tranquility of mind. You should devote at least one hour a day for 30 days to practicing them. After that, the strategies and techniques you master will become your other self.

  1. Loneliness Ritual. Your daily schedule should include a mandatory period of rest. Solitude and peace connect you to your creative source and unleash the limitless intelligence of the universe. You can do it anywhere, from your bedroom to your office. The most important thing is to find a really quiet - and beautiful - place to serve as the Sanctuary of Your Self. It can be an empty room in your home or just a quiet corner of a small apartment. The Loneliness Ritual gives the best results when performed at the same time of day. By performing it every day at the same time, you will make daily silence a habit you will always follow. If possible, communicate with nature daily.
  2. The Ritual of Physical Perfection. The Ritual of Physical Perfection is based on the principle that if you take care of your body, you also take care of your mind. If you prepare your body, you prepare your mind. Take time each day to give your body's temple a vigorous workout. Get the blood flowing and get the body moving. There is no one strategy that will magically change your life, but yoga, for example, is an extremely effective way to release your reserves of vitality and energy. Not only does it rejuvenate the body, but it completely focuses the mind.
  3. The Ritual of Healthy Eating. A bad diet has a tangible effect on your life. It sucks the mental and physical energy out of you. It affects your mood and prevents clarity of mind. The sages of Sivana followed a vegetarian diet to stay young and alert. But if you don't want to become a strict vegetarian, at least start including a salad and fruit for dessert at every meal. Even this will lead to a change in the quality of your physical condition.
Find out for yourself what is right and what is wrong in your actions, and then begin to correct your life immediately
  4. The Ritual of Immersion in Knowledge. This ritual boils down to becoming a disciple of life. You have to define your priorities clearly. Try not to live a life bound by the fetters of routines. Instead, focus on the things your conscience and your heart tell you to do. When you start dedicating yourself to perfecting your mind, body and soul, you'll feel as if you've got a personal navigator there, inside, guiding you to do the things that will bring you the best and most worthwhile results. You'll stop worrying about your watch and start living your life.
Read regularly. Thirty minutes of reading a day will do wonders. But don't read everything. You must be very selective in what you bring to the luxurious garden of your mind. Make your reading something that will improve both you and the quality of your life. Sages spent long hours reading and rereading the ancient teachings of their ancestors. Any answer to any problem you encounter is imprinted on paper. All the mistakes you are yet to make in your life have already been made by those who lived before you.
  5. The Ritual of Self-Display. There are dormant talents lurking in all of us. By taking the time to recognize them, we awaken them. But there is more to silent contemplation than that. It will make you stronger, freer and wiser. The problem is that most people think just enough to survive. But in this case, it's about thinking enough to thrive.
Words affect the mind in the most noticeable way. Whether spoken or written, they are powerful impulses
Every evening, after a hard day's work, go to a quiet corner of your house and reflect on the day. Analyze all your actions. Knowing clearly what you're doing wrong for the day, you can take immediate action to correct it and move forward on your own path to perfection. The real problem is that too many people suffer from the dreaded disease known as excuses. Take time to think about what you're doing. Make a regular habit of mentally revisiting your actions. The only way to make tomorrow better is to figure out what you did wrong today. And develop a clear plan to make sure it doesn't happen again. There's nothing wrong with making mistakes. Mistakes are part of life; they are necessary for development. But it would be a delusion to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, day after day.
  6. Early Awakening Ritual. Rise with the sun and start the day well. Six hours is usually enough for a person to stay healthy and awake. Sleep is nothing less than a habit. As you develop a new habit, you will always feel a slight discomfort. Here are a couple of helpful hints: first, don't forget that it's not how much, but how you sleep that matters. It is better to sleep six hours deeply than ten hours restlessly, the main thing is to provide the body with rest, so that natural processes restore your physical condition. Second, the stretch of ten minutes before you fall asleep and after you wake up has a profound effect on the subconscious mind. During this time, your mind should be programmed with only inspired and peaceful thoughts. When you go to bed, don't watch the news, don't argue with anyone, and don't replay the events of the day in your mind, relax. When you get up early, you can do a lot of good things. The basic principle that should be firmly established in your mind is the need to start the day with good things. Listen to music, watch the sunrise, or maybe take a little walk if you're in the mood. Each day will be a day full of rewards. Soon after you wake up, go to your sanctuary of silence, focus, and then ask yourself this question, "What would I do today if this were my last day?" Imagine in your mind a list of everything you would do, a list of people you would call, and moments you would enjoy. Imagine how you would treat your family and friends and complete strangers. If you live each day as if it were your last, your life becomes amazing.
  7. The Ritual of Music. Never forget the power of music. Spend some time with it every day, even if it's music in the car on the way to work. When you're feeling tired or down, listen to good music.
Stop grabbing the phone every time the phone rings, don't sit in a restaurant three times a week, spend more time with your kids
  8. The Ritual of the Spoken Word. The sages had a series of mantras that they repeated aloud in the morning, afternoon, and evening. A mantra is nothing more than a combination of words chosen to create a positive effect. Repeating mantras out loud has a wonderful effect on my mood. When I need to feel energized, I may repeat the phrase "I am inspired, disciplined and energetic" out loud two or three hundred times in a row. To maintain self-confidence, I repeat the phrase "I am strong, capable and calm." I use mantras even to stay young and full of vitality. It's important what you say to others, but far more important is what you say to yourself. The words you say to yourself affect your own image in your own eyes and determine all your actions.
  9. The Ritual of Harmonious Character. Your actions are formed into habits that govern your destiny. A virtuous life is a life of meaning. The vocation of monks was to be in harmony with diligence, compassion, humility, patience, honesty, and courage. When all your actions are in harmony with these principles, you will also feel a deep sense of inner harmony. Such a way of life will inevitably lead you to spiritual growth.
  10. The Ritual of Simplicity. Concentrate on what's important. Reduce your needs. Even the little things can change your life. When you improve yourself, you improve the lives of everyone around you. And when you move boldly and courageously toward your dreams, you begin to lean on the power of the universe. When you try to take your life to the highest level, the power of your soul will guide you. Stand your ground and follow your dreams: they will lead you to your destiny. And always follow the wonders of the universe, for they will lead you to a special garden full of roses.
    The Power of Discipline
Iron willpower and discipline are the basic qualities of all people of strong character and a successful, fulfilling life. Once you are in complete control of your own life, you are the master of your own destiny. The will has no mind of its own: it waits for your instructions to set it in motion.
The sumo wrestler in the parable was naked, save for the pink twisted cable wire on his hips. This wire serves as a reminder of the power of self-control. The virtue of self-discipline is like a thick cable wire: it consists of many interwoven fine wires. Each one is easily torn individually, but when woven together, the wire becomes strong.
    Your most precious possession
The glittering gold stopwatch in the parable is a symbol of our most important possession: time. Time runs through our fingers like sand and never comes back. Time is the greatest arbiter of human equality: we all have only twenty-four hours in a day. The way we use our time separates those of us who have lived extraordinary lives from those who have drifted. Busy, creative people use their time extremely efficiently-otherwise they won't survive. Make a habit of allocating your time according to your priorities. And remember: failing to plan time is planning to fail. Stop living in tattered chunks. Don't let others steal your time. Learn to tell others "no." Those around you will respect you more when they see that you value your time.
    The main goal of life
Regardless of your accomplishments or your financial condition, the quality of your life comes down to the quality of your contribution to the lives of others. When you work for the lives of others, you indirectly elevate your own. Give of yourself to others, thereby contributing to the betterment of the world. Doing good deeds every day makes your life so much richer.
Conclusion, or the Eternal Mystery of Enduring Happiness
The most important thing for a man is his present. Learn to live in the present and enjoy it to the fullest. Like a sumo wrestler on a road strewn with diamonds and finding joy, you can begin to live a life worthy of you from the moment you realize that the road you have walked is strewn with diamonds and other priceless treasures.
Enjoy the beauty and splendor of all that surrounds you.
    Never put life on hold!
Never forget the gift that is your family. The best gift you can give your children is your love. Show them that they are far more important to you than the fleeting pleasures of your career.
Cherish the wonderful moments, bathe in them. Do what you've always wanted to do.
Ponder what your calling is and how you can serve others. Light the spark of your life, and let it burn brighter and brighter.
Start applying the principles and techniques I've told you about. Become all that you can become.
Spread the wealth of sage knowledge among your surroundings. Everyone on this planet is one of the wonders of the world. Each of us has the opportunity to do something extraordinary, to be happy, and to realize our potential.
Small victories lead to big accomplishments. Tiny, insignificant changes for the better will lead to positive habits. Positive habits will lead to results, and those results will inspire you to work even harder on yourself.
Start living each day as your last day. Start today, learn more, enjoy yourself more, and do what you really love to do.
Everything behind you and everything in front of you doesn't mean much compared to what's inside you.
