His eyes turned the color of a dark forest and I knew he was seeing everything as it truly was. Like me. Drakis dead everywhere "- Sophie Jordan

Jacinda is no ordinary girl. It descends from dragons that can acquire human form and hide themselves from the predators who chase them. Her clan has her under control, as she is the last of her kind: a beautiful and powerful fire draki, committed to the Crown Prince. But a chance encounter forces Jacinda and her twin sister to flee their community and enter the world of humans. She will fight to keep her instincts from fading, even if it means approaching her opponent, an enemy as attractive as it is dangerous, capable of igniting her by looking at her.>

This is a book for teenagers (especially the female audience) to spend a few hours reading, either on a trip or in-between classes. The story is original and relatively fresh. If you like dragons thanks to the Game of Thrones series, perhaps after reading this book you will have a different perspective and like them more, because their evolution is very remarkable, now they are called "drakis" and the protagonist, a 16-year-old girl belongs to this peculiar race. In fact, it was what I liked most about the book: everything related to the Draki world. Their customs, origins, transformations and lifestyle. I thought it was fantastic and interesting. Something different from other sagas...

As in all the stories of teenagers, romance cannot be absent. The bad guys trying to make the immature, stubborn protagonist fall in love. However, it is something that works within the plot, but it is still a very old element in this type of book because the background is nothing new. Still, I have no doubt that there are readers who get excited about this kind of "mess.

The characters are well-defined and have the greatest empathy with the youth audience, as both Jacinda and Will have been manipulated since childhood and now only want to own their own lives, just as teenagers feel with their parents.

The novel is read with enough agility, is not tedious or boring; it is relatively short and is also the beginning of a saga, so in instants it can be something introductory, or, think that it doesn't give too many details, possibly in the second volume you will find answers. Like I said at the beginning, a book to have fun and kill time.
