(Favorite.com) Jasim Uddin A carpenter in the profession. In the second class of financial education, the institutional education stopped. Capability is her little, but huge her mind. So, the community library has built itself in its own sense. Jasim's initiative is to encourage every old man behind the area to read books.
Despite the limitations of educational eligibility, the passion of learning from early childhood was strong. The financially poor person could not afford to buy books and read. So, in the morning, people used to go to different shops in Ankapura Bazar of the upazila to read the newspaper. Slowly, it became addictive. Jasim, a regular reader of articles, articles, editorials and literary texts. One day if he did not read the newspaper he would not have been good at his day. While reading the magazine, the eldests left the magazine again, waiting for them to return to the magazine. The story of childhood reads this way: The book is the book that this man is a book book.
Jasim is the only earning member of a five-member family. His mother has a five-year-old daughter named Janani Akter Maya. On his head, the physically challenged younger brother, Mitul, When Jasim was 10, his father left him. At the age of 10, he had to take the responsibility of the family. A carpenter beside the house would have kept him as a helper. The family had to go through whatever they could get from there. There was nothing but Bhatbari Jasim.
Under the constraints of his childhood, on October 29, 2016, 'Community Library' was built around his hometown.
The library of Paikpara Mirzapur village of Shimulia union of Khosha upazila of Kushtia was built without any assistance. So far, the collection of books in his library is more than 500. The number of members stood 312. He bought books at his own expense, collected member free of cost. There is no fee to be a member of the community library. Members can read various books free of charge. You can also take a loan.
His belief is that less educated people of the village can go to another height by reading books. People who come to read or borrow books in this library are people of different classes. Teenagers, young people, old and old all can become members of his library. In his words, 'Not only children of the school, those who are honored in the library also take books from my library. Even the elderly and the girls who have been married for a while, all come and take the book. People who eat like me come also. '
Although open for everyone, he basically set up this library to increase the tension towards relatively less educated people. Low income, heavy burden on the neck of the family, small brother with disability; Asked how he managed this great work within such a limit, he said, "I have never thought of this initiative before. Basically did not dare to think. Because it is a sin to think of a poor person like me! But I did not think of all the thoughts and thought of building a library. Although I was not able to buy books even after my childhood, I could not afford to buy books. I used to borrow money from others and used to borrow books from others. It was a lot of trouble. From that perspective, my 'Community Library' started. Let's start with my 100 books.
Even though buying a book with a portion of his income, he sometimes took shelter of technology. The e-mail address of some of the people who wrote columns in the magazine collected from the magazine and asked for a book. Got two or three people in hand, some books. Among them are Muhammad Zafar Iqbal. But the first person who came to see is the officer and columnist of a private organization called Ma'usham Billah. He also e-mails for books.
Although he did not get any help from the government and non-governmental collection in the book collection, he did not get any reply from the UNO's office even though he wrote a letter to Khosa Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) on the advice of one. But it is not frustrating, Jasim said.
In the country, the disability allowance is in progress, but his younger brother's name is not in that book. One of the representatives told him to give his brother's name. But with an objectionable proposal, that's the representative of the public. She did not accept the proposal as immoral.
The floor of the library with tin rice and fencing is ripe. Regarding the monthly cost of the library, he said that the house rent is 200, electricity bill 100 and a national daily, for which he has to spend more than 300 rupees. Apart from photocopying of various articles of the magazine, there is more money to spend, which is beyond reckoning. Want cooperation with everyone; And that co-operation is to lead people's movements in the library. Many of them mocked at such an initiative. Whoever struggles to run his own family, he will teach people books!
Jasim Uddin said, "Nowadays people read books for certificates only, what will be the SSC pass, passing HSC, if there is no proper knowledge?
According to him, the guardians think that children are just enough to read textbooks, but it is not. He dreamed, there would be all kinds of good books in his library, people would gather in the library for books.
There are many capable, wealthy, big researchers, educators in the country, but no one thought of being like a stud farmer Jasim Uddin as a dwarf. Think of their own interest in their own interests. In the era of technology excellence, grown-ups are more addicted to social media. Their love for the book is going to rise day by day. Nowadays, the textbooks have become dependent for the testing of boys and girls. No books except textbooks fall in one. But theirs
