This one probably needs no introduction. The Godfather, published in 1969, was Puzo's sixth and most famous novel. It details the story of the fictional mafia family, the Corleones, in New York City from the years 1945-1955, while also telling the backstory of the family's notorious boss Vito Corleone. It inspired the eponymously titled 1972 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola, starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, as well as two sequels. This is the scarce first printing:
