Good evening dear Steemians
It Is time to complete today's posts and I have decided to do it with a multifunctional tree that has a lot of properties and goods to offer.
Eucalyptus Cinerea
It is a tree endemic to Australia, also known as Argyle Apple and Silver Dollar tree that can grow rapidly and also can get to 60 feet of height.
Its circular grayish-green leaves give off an aroma that has made it a must-have in flower shops to aromatize environments or be part of floral arrangements. The leaves, even when dry, still provide a fresh and almost minty aroma wherever they are.
But this is not all, the trunk of the tree has been used in the past to make fences, it is used to make essential oils, and of course, a lot of medicinal properties have been reported about It as well.
The leaves of the tree are considered medicinal and therapeutic for various health problems such as infections, colds, sore throats, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, and some skin conditions.
My grandmother still remembers how her mother treated colds by boiling eucalyptus leaves every time she or one of her siblings caught a cold over 60 years ago. They had to drink the tea at least 3 times per day and in doing so she remembers feeling better and without nasal congestion.
It is also important to add that due to the signs and symptoms produced by Covid-19, eucalyptus as well as ginger and lemon have become plants of interest. This is due to their extensive reputation as helpers in the treatment of diseases affecting the respiratory system.
To close, In particular, I also see an aesthetic use within photography, its soft colors and the shape of its leaves make it a perfect detail to add to photographic compositions.
Thank you so much for reading.
Best regards.
