Bounty Program Dates: 03/5/2018 through 4/10/2018

MediaCoin is running a bounty program prior to, and during the launch of the MediaCoin Platform. This is to promote use of the platform and reach more artists who would like to place their content on the MediaCoin Platform.

MediaCoin:

Software developer specializing in encrypted content delivery. Using AES encryption on both client and server, combined with the use of a wallet’s private key, MediaCoin has developed a platform that will allow artists to distribute their content digitally without the possibility of piracy.

Quantum MediaCoin Token (QMCT or QMCTe):

QMCT and QMCTe will be the token used across the MediaCoin Platform to purchase audio and video files on a pay-per-play, or per session basis.

Artists will choose the rate to view the content per session, or per play, and 100% of the revenue generated from the sales of the content will go directly to the artist’s network. We believe that artists should be able to choose how much or how little should be required to view their content.

The Problem:

The Music Industry has failed to provide an adequate compensation for the time and talent artists put into making their content, and failed to simply keep that content from being stolen.

In the United States alone, $2.7 BILLION in revenue is lost annually due to content piracy. Digital content theft has become a plague for artists.

Over the last 10 years, artists have asked software developers to create a secure way to distribute their content. Due to technical limitations with digital content they were unable to do so, and artists have been faced with choosing to have their music stolen and heard, or have their music safe but not properly distributed.

The Solution:

Using AES encryption methods combined with the delivery of encryption keys to wallet addresses, we have made this possible. This encryption technique uses blockchain technology to revolutionize the way we deliver data today.

To show the capabilities of our software we are starting with the MediaCoin Platform, our plans do not end there. Within 6 months we plan moving toward assisting medical facilities with HIPAA compliance, E-learning and E-campus for schools, and secure live streaming of sporting and entertainment events.

Finally this technology will allow us to become a Meta ISP, and using MVNO cell data, a mobile Virtual Network Operator. For more information, Please read our whitepaper at https://mediacoin.stream/

Nice article! This sounds like great news for the music industry. But will this support services like Pandora and Spotify accessing the music?

I’m definitely upvoting and following you!
@shredz7

Thanks for the comment Shredz. We will be a direct competitor to services like those. Currently, artists get paid something like $.008 by those streaming services when their music is played AND the content is easily ripped off. We are planning on solving both issues by protecting the content of course, but also by allowing the artist to choose the price to view the content.
What will happen eventually is that the exposure artists get on those platforms will be outweighed by the benefits of securing your content and charging a very low rate to view it instead. Streaming services will continue to work with the music that they have, but they will struggle to continue to get new music because artists will choose to keep it exclusive with someone who will keep it from being stolen.
"Free" or even streamed music was never here to stay. It was just propped up because artists didn't have any other options and needed to be on the internet.
