$200 for feedback of an idea of mine: bounties for steem!

in bounty •  8 years ago

A few days ago I re-introduced my idea about bounties to the steem community and I am putting up an actual bounty to give you a test drive feeling of what it could be like.

Granted doing this all manually is not very cool, but since it is not implemented yet, this is the best way to experience bounties in action. Essentially what the bounty does is reward the user(s) that will give the best feedback to the bounty idea overall.

Currently the comments are very "light" and the $200 are still very much up for grabs.

How do I get the $200

A) Read my two articles that describe the idea and why I think it can be transformational:

C) Collect the money sometime after next Tuesday. It will simply appear in your wallet via a payment from my account "knircky".

How is the money distributed

70% by me the rest by the rest of the votes. Part of the idea of bounties is that people putting up the money get to decide who will earn it, but the community should also have an impact, hence the 70-30 distribnution. If you think that sucks, write about it and collect that bounty.

The other 30% will be distributed according of how much votes in SBD comments have earned.

Enjoy

Upvoting because you're my friend and it's a good idea. I want to give good detailed feedback but literally I don't have space and time until Sunday to give this it's due. So consider this as me saying "space reserved for something breath taking that took 2 days for williambanks to consider".

Thank you. And you have until Tuesday to contribute.

It's a good idea but I think it is only part of a bigger need. There needs to be a built in escrow in steem for this and other payments to be held. It could be used for all sorts of things not just bounties. The big problem I see is how would bounties or an escrow system payments actually be done fairly. Someone says they will give x amount of payment for doing something. What if no one ever does it? Would the funds go back to the original owner? What if the parameters are edited? What if the outcome is a judgment call? How would the system distribute the funds? Would people vote on the outcome? We all know that one whale vote can throw the whole system. Right now all these contests and bounties are done on trust. That won't be a good system as steem and steemit grows.

Yes, obviously this has to be implemented with multi sig and this would be a smart contract.....

If you read the post all your questions are actually addressed.

Read it and provide some feedback. Again you can make $200 if you do.
