My favourite fight : "The War"

The moment I saw this fight, I was absolutely mesmerised. The fight barely lasted 3 rounds, but it felt like a lifetime. I refer of course to "the war", enacted by Marvin Hagler and Tommy Hearns in 1985. Hagler was something else.

Hagler vs Carlos Monzon is the best fight that never happened.

      Indeed. That was a golden era for Middle weight boxing with Hagler, Hearns, Roberto Duran, and Sugar Ray Leonard going head to head. Most of the fights are on Youtube. Some are absurdly compelling. None more than this one!
