From the research I have done recently it looks like BPA Plastics do some really horrible things which include but are not limited to hormone manipulation and heart problems to name just a couple.
the following links look at the problem as well as give products to avoid and look for.\ Hope this helps

Basically your better off with GLASS and paper... but there are alternatives. The problem is also that whereas the health risks of BPA are known many of the risks from the upcoming man made alternatives are not.

Thanks for this post! I'm so into healing the planet but this is one area that I haven't really paid attention to. Now I'm concerned about the cat food cans and the Vanity Fair disposable dishes I like to use. I found 2 other articles that went into great detail which I would like to contribute to your topic.

More life changes for a healthier and better way of life!

Thank you so very much, we are also going to be buying one of those water machines that can hold 5 gallon BPA Free containers. We have a friend with a 200+ foot deep well that I will be getting the water from. His was tested and the folks that tested it said that it was the purest water they had ever seen.

That's fantastic! We have a well also but, in the past, it has tested with too much manganese and arsenic. Even though we now have filters, and it tests OK, we prefer to buy bottled water for drinking. But it comes in plastic bottles... We have to make a lot of changes.
