Illawarra Flame Tree - Simply Red.

in brachychiton •  7 years ago

The Illawara Flame tree ( Brachychiton acerifolius ) is in full flower now in Sydney. It is spectacular with it's red flowers. This is an Australian native tree, and occurs naturally in the Sub-tropical regions on the East Coast of Australia and also New Guinea , growing up to 30 metres in height. After flowering, it develops large seed pods which provide food for native birds. There are 31 different species if this tree, but this one is probably the most colourful. This tree was not far from where i live.new 2 046.JPGnew 2 048.JPG

Amazing what on other part of the world is growing. Love the gentleness and petite red colour.

My nature knowledge is basic but I presume here lives and nests Kookabura? I just remembered how you show us even more shiny ones few months ago.

Good observation mate ! Yes that is a nest there, maybe a Currawong or a Magpie. Kookaburras usually nest in tree hollows.

Internet tells me that currawong is authentic for your place but magpie we have too in Europe. I imagine the black suit of currawong goes well with this gentle red colour of how you say simply red tree.

@ctrl-alt-nwo Can you notice the resemblance with your tree?

Simply Red, yes ! I like their songs. And i was thinking of them when i did the post too. Congrats, you get the Favourite comment award. I like your knowledge on our birds as well.

Wow, thank you very much @ctrl-alt-nwo ! You made my Sunday simply the best ;)

This kind of bare tree is known as. I guess it is because they do not have leaves. it really has a very nice image. Even when it has been laid. @ctrl-alt-nwo

The tree does shed it's leaves at certain times, but it does have leaves most of the time. Silly sausage award is shared with 2 other people's comments. Nice photo too.

It is famous for the bright red bell-shaped flowers that often cover the whole tree when it is leafless.

The Illawara Flame tree looks so stunning and wonderful which is not in my country but Sydney . Thank you so much for telling us about this tree a little. And, you have really got a great skill of photography . :) That's why I followed you because I also do photography of floral.

This is so big tree just awesom with full of bright orange colour amazing.

Oh yeah, it's just an Australian plant and at first sight it's an ordinary tree. But no, before the beginning of flowering it sheds all its foliage, and the bare branches are covered with many small bright red flowers. From a distance it seems that this tree is shrouded in a red cloud. Very beautiful sight. Thank you @ctrl-alt-nwo

Peaceful of mind...I love red ! @ctrl-alt-nwo

Brachychiton acerifolius is really a flame tree with so much attractive and fascinating colors. Its height is majestic and very welcoming to the birds.

Flora and Fauna of Australia have a wonderful charm. Australia has some of the most astonishing species of animals and tree which are absent from other continents e.g. Kangaroo.

In my country, Australian Eucalyptus has grown really well. It grows very quickly to amazing heights. It can be grown on any sort of terrain. Thank You.

Thanks for showing your interest !

You are really lucky. You live near this beautiful plant. This is really amazing. How cold does this plant last? Do you have any information? I want to see where I live. The reason I like this plant is probably red. Red is my favor. A full garden plant invites the birds that the seed bell is big. This is the sniffing. In short, peace.

You should see the scrub. They are cute. @ctrl-alt-nwo

Illawarra Flame Tree is a very colorful one. Nice color flowers indeed.

Wow! amazing red tree, there is no tree in our country like this, thanks for sharing.....dear @ ctrl-alt-nwo

images (7).jpeg beautiful

Beautiful, how long do the flowers last?

Maybe 8 to 12 weeks or longer if conditions are ideal.

Wow that is quite a show.

wow, a very pretty tree @ctrl-alt-nwo, I've never seen that tree before. It looks like the tree is not growing in my country. Means that tree could be bird food. It's really cool, has many benefits. But honestly, I really like to see the beauty of that tree. Is it in the hot area that the tree can grow?
thank you for sharing..... :)

It will grow in Temperate and Semi-tropical regions.

Well, now I understand. Thank you very much @ctrl-alt-nwo, you already want to explain it all for me.

It grows in the Semi-tropics. It would probably grow in the tropics yes. Does your local Botanical gardens have this tree there where you live ?

I do not know for sure whether the tree is in the country I live in. Because I've seen the tree in the country I live. Later if I see there is a tree in my place, then I will post in my article. Let me see that. Thank you for explaining the tree for me.... :)

Wow this is very beautiful photography and great work
Thanks @ctrl-alt-nwo

A very beautiful tree, but the tree is very large and has many benefits for other living things. You say that tree has 31 species, it is very much. Does each tree have a different color? Thanks and best wishes for you @ctrl-alt-nwo

Red and creamy white flowers i think.

means it all have a beauty respectively. but definitely White and cream no less beautiful with Red. thank you

The tree sure is a beauty to look at !Pretty nice tree buddy !

wow nice photographi is very amazing sir tree flower very long thanks to have willing to share buddies

This Flame tree is so drunk! He couldn't stand straight, his two eyeballs are drooping and his nose is running a bit! His whole head is all red from drinking too much, and his pale complexion is spreading red all over! He's keeling over soon! The Palm lady was trying to grab him, but his two arms are swimming in the air!

You should never have invited a soft throat to your moonshine party!
This is an embarrassment to moonshine worshipers!

Cheers.

Wow...Amazing Flowers

Congratulations very good
