It is the topmost desire of every student to pass all her exams. Every student wishes for good results after all the hard work in school. To attain your goals and aspiration as a successful student, you need to plan for your studies and master time management skills very well. Aside, working very hard as a student, study very smart to pass all your exams in one sitting. Here are some tricks you can use to study smart as a student;

You need to understand the concept very well in class.
Understanding the concept very well is the first key to scoring good marks in the exams and grades. Make sure you read your notes every day, listen to podcasts and watch videos on YouTube. Also, you can choose to read articles or watch videos and listen to podcasts depending on your method of learning: whether you are a visual learner, aural learner, verbal learner, solitary or social learner.

Use techniques like the mind palace to help you store the concept in your long term memory. My brethren, have you thought of why you forget about things you understood in class during lecturing hour?

There is a lot of information surrounding us that the brain needs to store. Everything we learn goes to the short term memory for the first time. The brain begins to forget about things stored in the short term memory after 30 minutes of studies. I recommend you as a student to read on the forgetting curve of the brain.

Use this simple trick to beat the forgetting curve.

Practice the spaced repetition method to help you store information in your long term memory rather than the short term memory.
In this way, you will remember everything you have learned for a very long period. Review an informative read for the first time after an hour of reading, revised after one day, three days, two weeks, and one month three months.

Also, you can set your spaced repetition method. Individuals have different brain capacities to store information for a certain period.

Solve past questions to familiarize yourself with the questions they brought in the exams. Spend most of your time practising past papers after understanding the concept.

When you are in the STEM group, practice a lot of past papers to score good marks in the exams.,

Bear in mind the tutors and examiners only modify STEM questions. When you are in the humanities or art-filled, read into details to understand the concept very well, and you will come out with flying colours in all your exams.

Focus on core concepts:
As a student, you need to focus on the core concept and master them thoroughly. You must develop the speed reading method. You can use the skimming and scanning methods to search for the most examinable areas in the syllabus or particular topics and master them.

Have good night sleep and avoid stress.
After all the hard work in the day, try to sleep between six and eight hours every night. Having enough sleep is essential for the brain’s ability to store information and memorize concepts and facts. Enough sleep boost your immune system and help your body to be resistant to disease-causing organisms.

Please, study smart and hard. The hardworking student most at times performs well than the gifted students who are lazy.
