Milk
Drinking a glass of milk after or while consuming food containing onions can repel the smell of onions. A study from Ohio State University in 2010 found, that drinks containing high levels of fat, such as milk, can help reduce the smell of garlic and also cover the smell of garlic during meals. Both regular milk and low-fat milk can reduce sulfur in garlic which is the cause of a strong odor.
But in between, milk that has high fat levels will get the best results, because fat is effective in neutralizing odors.
