Im posting this story for a friend of mine, Kevin Breslin. Jimmy Breslin was his father.
Jimmy was one of the most historic news column writers in the history of newspaper.
This temporary naming was pulled way too soon. He was honored no more than a month ago and this was taken down already.
Jimmy walked that street his whole career going to the Daily News offices, hes a legend in NY and deserves this intersection more than anybody. Hes saved more lives, guven more people hope that werent as fortunate in life, poor people, the regular hardworking middle to lower class family that needed help with everyday life. He wrote stories that no one else was writibg and they all concentrated in regular, everyday people.
He didnt care about fame, stardom or celebrity status.
If you ever have a chance, google Jimmy Breslin and you will read some of the coolest stories,not only about the people he helped, but about his hardships as a hardworking person, father, grandfather, role model that endured everydays life struggles just as much as the lower class hardworking family.
I appreciate all my fellow steemians time to check this story out. Jimmy Breslin died a happy father, happy grandfather and happy man that had nothing but love all around him.
