Wow, Russel Brand telling it like it is.
“If we want to change the world, we need to change the systems through which we organise power.”
When it comes to power and positions of authority, exchanging the people “who failed” with new ones won’t change a thing, as long as they derive their power only from the position they fill.
The power system will only change once people come with their own personal power already within - regardless of which position they hold.
This way they won’t have to fight with all means to keep “in power” anymore, because their outside circumstances won’t matter to their inner power. They’ll always have their innate power, no matter what positions they hold.
The fear that fuels our system isn’t so much the fear of the “little people” who have little money and little (external) power. It’s the fear of the people in authority positions who are afraid of losing that power.
Look at Theresa May’s defiant little 3 year old self walking away from the microphone.
She can “love her country” from anywhere. Nobody can take that love away, only her fake power.
The next person in her position will enjoy that power just as much as her, and probably make just as little a difference as her.
Until “the system” finally changes.
This clip is sooo worth watching!
