The working class are being sidelined and divided again. When will this stop?
WHEN WE STOP IT!!
The establishment have offered up two populists in recent years, to divide the working class vote and divide them. Nigel Farage first and then Corbyn most recently.
The estabishments only mistake was in offering up a referendum! They got the bloody nose that the wise realized they were going to get.
The working class had a vote they could unite on, the rejection of the Londoncentric middle class narrative that those cosmipolitan elites like to ascribe to the working classes
Since the vote they have tried every underhand method to negate the vote we gave. They have called us racist, they have called us uneducated and they have called us stupid.
No one voted as they believed £350 million would go to the NHS every week. But we were smart enough to realize that by not paying into the EUs budget we would be saving money that could be spent in the UK.
Most people voted leave because it was the only choice we had. We knew that if we voted remain then nothing would change.
Now we are the narrative as the establishment rush round trying to appease us. For years we have complained about what huge immigration. For years we have complained on the effect that this is having in our communities. No one listened. All we got in answer was more sneering comments about racism and xenophobia. Those same middle class, London living, cosmopoliton hypocrites attempted to lecture us on immigration. They tell us that London has huge immigration too. It does. What they don't mention is that those in London all chose to be there.
I've even heard MPs say "who will serve are coffee". There we have the nub of the matter.
We live in small communities, often with high social housing stock. We are forced to live in communities together and no one wants to be there. In London immigrants work serving the cosmopoliton middle class.
The EU vote was our chance to be heard. We knew there would be a small hit to our economy at the outset, but we were willing to take that. They think we are stupid, but we are smart enough to realize that when they give us figures saying "every family in UK to lose £2000", we realize our lost will be a penny and the already wealthy will pay the huge amounts. Thats one advantage at this point to being poor!
Maybe, in the new UK we create, the estabishment will listen to our concerns. I doubt that very much. They will seek further ways to deny and divide us.
The working classes have fought 2 world wars for this nation. The welfare state was created to reward that sacrifice. Now they want to destroy it and renege on that promise..
Society is a contract between the dead, the living now and the yet to be born. We made promises to those who died of continuity to those are yet to be born. There is a war against that contract now.
The working classes are the backbone of this nation, patronize us at your peril
