According to the Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Internet Promotion Agency (KISA) said that the South Korean government plans to increase the number of public demonstration projects in the blockchain from six this year to 12 next year, extending to the entire public sector. The total budget exceeds 10 billion won (about 9 million US dollars). The blockchain public demonstration project was first implemented this year with the aim of using blockchain technology to streamline public services and encourage private investment.
