The Structure of Reality (X)

At this level we will contemplate the function of consciousness and with it, we can define in a general way what we consider "life".

Samsara remains like a huge videotape that, if it is not read, can contain anything. The tape, as we saw is static. What "runs" through it are the consciousnesses that are the observers of reality.

Reality does not coagulate until a consciousness observes it.

In this way, the conscience or the observer is the one who has the reader of reality and his own clock. And observer is anything capable of observing, from an animal or plant passing through any device capable of capturing a signal and processing it.

If we go to the classical Buddhist nomenclature, we will understand more easily the role of the interface of consciousness, namā-rūpa, concepts or storage and input / output. The interface refers to the reading of reality and the preprocess to deliver it to the conscience. This is how experimentation happens that what coagulates reality. While this does not happen, reality is an infinite set of possibilities.

A video camera has its own interface and also acts as an observer capable of coagulating reality. Therefore, at the physical level it acts functionally like any "living being". We must move away from the idea of organic organization to define a conscience. For example, a dead animal is an organic entity but is unable to observe.

Here the Samsara takes its true concept, its very name. To wander. Consciousness wanders in Samsara continuously, taking different interfaces, but in a perpetual wandering. Consciences are packages of conditions and it is those conditions that condition the type of interface they use, and the interface that is also a package of conditions is subject to its own conditionality.

Although they are mutually conditioned, interface and consciousness are different packages, such as the driver and the vehicle. They are pure information, that is, they are pure energy.

Samsara is a fixed space where consciences run, but individually. For one consciousness all others are part of Samsara. They are actors in a gigantic stage, where the others are part of the set. One consciousness can not "lend" its watch to another, and different consciousnesses will be able to observe the first at different times of their wandering.

In a moment of a certain consciousness, it is watching your death.
