Often, companies using blockchain technology in their work begin to care about the security of their digital assets only after they have been committed a cyber attack. That is, the system was hacked and the attackers seized money or confidential information. The Buglab project offers a new approach to this issue. This decentralized service allows you to pre-check the security of the system and find "bottlenecks" that can be used by attackers for unauthorized access. Using this platform will allow firms working with crypto assets to protect themselves and their investments from hackers.
Existing problems of the industry
Most firms dealing with electronic assets understand the need to take measures to protect information. However, not all of them have sufficient financial resources to constantly maintain a cybersecurity service. And the involvement of third-party specialists requires a lot of time and is not always possible due to the requirements of the current legislation.
Not all companies exposed to cyber attacks disseminate information about them and provide data that allow you to avoid such troubles in the future. Therefore, the fight against" holes " in the storage of personal information comes to the fore.
Features of Buglab project
The authors of the new crypto-project Buglab offer their own approach to information protection. The use of their platform makes it possible to timely identify possible locations of hackers by collecting and analyzing statistical information about previous attacks against other users. The project gives the opportunity to any member to appeal to the proven Pentastar or recruit a team of several (5 or more) experts to check the security of the system. The project functions as follows:
A company that needs a security check places an application for a competition for a set of testers on the platform. Invitation to participate in the contest is sent to all participants of the system.
Buglab participants who have placed an application for the contest can choose their own pentesters according to the specified criteria or invite a team from a well-known company that specializes in cybersecurity.
Contests can be of closed type. During these auditions, participants pick their own specialists taking into account the qualification of the state where it is located and other features.
When the system participants identify vulnerabilities in the customer's security system, they are collected in a single report and then analyzed. Then repeated vulnerabilities found by individual pentesters are removed from the report. After that, a summary is formed on which the client evaluates the level of its own cybersecurity and takes measures to eliminate problems.
Platform participants who order testing can choose how to manage the competitions.
In the project dashboard, the user who needs a security check can pick up specialists based on their rating in the system of experience and results from previous projects. Thus, experienced professionals will receive additional benefits that will have a positive impact on the results of their work.
ICO project features
The BGL token will act as a means of settlement between the platform participants. It is created according to the ERC20 standard on the Ethereum platform. The total number of tokens issued is 425 million, of which 170 million are intended for free sale in order to attract investors ' funds for the final implementation of the platform. Only users who have previously registered on the project website can participate in the ICO. Original price is 2 us cents per 1 BGL. The minimum investment amount during pre-sales is 6.67 ETH.
Summary
Buglab allows companies that need to check their own cybersecurity to use the services of experienced and reliable professionals without spending a lot of money. Transparency of relations between the platform participants is guaranteed by the use of blockchain technology. Smart contracts confirm the reputation of pentesters and allow customers to protect confidential data from illegal use.
