#Build-it is a community, born out of the need to empower and strengthen DIY (do it yourself) projects, How-to tutorials and life hacks. Among many others, Build-it.io was set up as a means to encourage and reward high-quality DIY and How-to projects.

Our curation account on Build-it.io known as @build-it.curator is fully powered with BUILD tokens (approximately 90k build power) ready to reward all valid entries.

The Daily Build

Without a doubt, we're in awe of how active and fertile the steem platform is, in less than a month, we've had hundreds of users using our tags, and over 300 accounts holding our Build token on Steem engine. It is for this reason we've designed The Daily Build --- It will serve as a daily bulletin of manually curated articles and projects that use our recommended tags: #diy, #build-it, #how-to, #doityourself, #build.

Showcase Sunday - Sand sculpture {Bullet time}

@ammonite

I spent a year in art college making kinetic sculptures, trying to create movement in my work but due to lack of knowledge, help from the academic staff and being told that this wasn't art It was a failure both for the works I was trying to make and for my grades so I was forced to repeat the year.

DIY: Four new raised beds

@warfsterveld

A while ago I posted about some free pallets my husband brought home. We have a particular area in the garden where I like to put my salad greens. Because of our wet climate we always have to buy nematodes in order to repel slugs, which can get quite expensive over time. We know copper tape works in our area as well so we’ve been wanting to do a couple raised beds (with copper tape around) to increase the liveliness of our salad greens in early spring. This would also save the money otherwise spend on nematodes.

Solar Panel Trigger Experiment DIY

@kiwibloke

I've always been fascinated with DIY solar panel projects I mustve watched 100's of Youtube videos on the subject. Many years ago I came across this Youtube video " ..... decorative lighting controller by bigclivedotcom". The circuit as he described, was a great way to introduce the practical use of a transistor as a switch. So I decided to replicate the circuit on a breadboard using only 1 LED for proof of concept. It worked just fine.

DIY: Victorian Style house and Restoration Man project

@stef1

Finally it is weekend for me and after finishing my long working shift I am off. This weekend is also off for my hubby @myskye, normally he is full time involved in restoration of our house, the previous owners left everything in style of 70’s and looks like were not really bored with the look and aging of everything. For us, we knew that we have to invest much in but did not realize that it will take so much time and work.

The story of one madness

@bambuka

Is it possible to make a modern bass guitar "on the knee"? Good question. It turns out that you can. I did it without leaving my apartment.
