Everybody dreams about:

Someday beeing a millionaire - and that´s just with as little effort as possible. But it´s not that simple.

Thomas C. Corley has analyzed over five years the behavior of the rich and summarized its findings in a study.

His central question: How to be a self-made millionaire? When searching for an answer, he noted that all those who have made it on their own, they are falling into one of these two categories:

  •     They are almost fanatical scrimper!

  •     Their sell something!

153 of 233 studied millionaires made a majority of their assets by selling things. These 153 had thereby an average net worth of 5.7 million dollars. For their wealth, 71 percent achieved it before their 56th birthday - on average it took less than 22 years.

The millionaires, belonged to the category 'fanatical scripmer', had an average net worth of "only "$ 3.2 million - which they have accumulated it, on average it took them about 36 years.

To make it clear once again: empires that relied on selling, had an average of $ 2.5 million higher capacity than the savers and it took them 14 years less. So it's only logical to say: If you want to get rich you have to sell something.

It does not matter which product you sell. This can be cars, electric appliances, burgers or donuts - but also services such as design, legal advice, financial planning, or simply a new way, how to do something.

Here are some famous people who have shown us how to:

  • Warren Buffet (85) sells his expertise in finance.

  •  Elon Musk (45) sold to shoot into space with his company Tesla cars

and with SpaceX the use of missiles, for example, satellites.

  • Mark Zuckerberg (32) sold to Facebook advertising and marketing      services.

  • LeBron James (31) sold its Performance as basketball.

  • Tony Robbins (56) sold as a coach his motivation and training seminars.
    • J. K. Rowling (51) sells her Harry Potter books.

    • Taylor Swift (26) - the youngest millionaire in this list - sold their love songs.

So as you can see: If you want to belong to the richest of the rich you have to sell something.
