Former So Useful is Book Sharing Program and reading avid movement to increase reading interest of Indonesian society. This program invites the wider community, students, even government agencies to donate their used books that are still worth reading that will be donated to the regions. The idea arose because the unrest of the four UNM student friends saw our country Indonesia fall into the category of countries whose reading interest rate is very low.
Chairman of the PKM Oda Parwati group who is a Student of Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Program Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University said, "We are very concerned to see the condition of Indonesian society is low reading interest when compared with other countries.
Based on UNESCO data for 2012, children in Europe read about 25 books in a year. In Japan and Singapore, children read 15 to 20 books over the year. While Indonesia Zero book in one year.
"According to him, the figure is compounded by Indonesia's reading rankings which only occupy the 60th position of 61 countries based on the international literacy rating, Most Literate Nations in the World, published by Central Connecticut State University. Indonesia is only better than a small country in Africa, Botswana.
This is the reason the four students of Makassar State University Make a Program Former So Blessing. The BJB team hopes this program will work well, and hopefully this program will continue. Not only one area but all regions in Indonesia.
