I've already said that Trump's ban on bump stocks was the worst thing that he actually did in office.
It's a ban that didn't bother me personally. I've had a rifle since I was a teenager, and I didn't even know what bump stocks were. It took me a couple of hours to find out what they were, how they work, why I would never buy one, how you can do the same thing with and adjustable stock or just using your freaking belt loop, etc.
Still, the important thing was that the ban threatened people with significant prison time, and there was no actual law. It was the executive branch getting in bed with an unelected government agency to circumvent the Bill of Rights.
The thing is, I don't think that Trump was bothered at all that the Supreme Court overturned it. I haven't seen him say anything about the Court's ruling. For all I know, he agrees with it.
The people who have been vocal about opposing the Supreme Court's correct decision have been the Democrats and the legacy media.
Don't forget that the ATF is supposed to be a law enforcement agency. It's not supposed make laws.
The irony isn't lost on me that the party that's in bed with the defund or abolish the police is vocally supportive of cops making up their own laws.
