What do Politicians Do When the Opposition Speaks?

in bundestag •  6 years ago  (edited)

Here we are in Germany. The Bundestag discusses the budget for the coming year.
It is not a break. Time to be attentive as Sahra Wagenknecht from the left wing party gives her point of view.

Staring at the phone or in the air, calling in, getting up and wandering about the area or even having a conversation with others whereas someone gives a lecture, is a sign of disrespect and bad behaviour.

Oh, you did not know? We pay taxes for politicians to see their phones, that's because it's better to have them busy there, and not to be "creative" with crazy theories.

It's incredible because politicians have a highly accommodated life, however they don't take the time to do their work, which is precisely listening.

Thanks for your comment. The interesting thing is, every one can see them misbehaving, as debates are public and well TV covered. But they seem to have a thick skin.

They are all addicted to social media and smart phones!

...like us. But that is not the point. Here they show that they have no respect for other parliamentarians.

I am afraid most people have become very insensitive and rude like these politicians nowadays! Addiction makes us lose our sense of the presence and the responsibility we have towards as other!!
