How bureaucracy started in Brazil?

Bureaucracy began according with my favorite political scientist and historician, Bruno Garschagen in his first book “ Pare de Acreditar no Governo. Por que os Brasileiros não Confiam nos Políticos e Amam o Estado” (Stop believing in the goverment. Why dos brazilians doesn’t trust in the politicians and love the state), began yet in the colonial period, eliminating the whole new possibility to construct something new from the beginning as the US founders did.

Brazil in that time, had a huge potencial on the explorarion of the products recently discovered in Europe, so basically Portugal had a possibly monopoly in their hands

However, comparing now at days with the empire, they weren’t bureaucrats, today, the portuguese empire isn’t even close to the level of bureaucracy that we brazilians live. Began in the empire, became worst in the republic.

When the Republic came out!

The brazilian republic (military dictatorship regime) began in 1889 (For further reading, i recommend three excelent books from another historician: Laurentino Gomes in his work 1889 wich explains in details the republican change in politics), and the bureaucrat actions became common in that time, because of the military regime and the militariness approach of the political scenario, having in mind that during that time, almost 80% of the brazilian society were analphabet, what made the acception of the changing far from incontrovertible

That fact, created a lot of negative consequences for the brazilian economy wich were before the republicans stable. They basically destroyed the economic borders that we had with England, enjoyed the last piece of war culture with the Paraguay war, wich costed a lot from the empire, created customs taxes and raised the regular taxes in society, blocked the entrance of new products in the market and killed the entrepreunership will amongst those who were investors and much more (read those books)

Besides that, there’s people in our time who wants to jump that problem and become an entrepreuner, and the only way to do that is getting away the goverment with the market, excluding taxations and principally bureaucracy from the private iniciative, giving back the whole new unexplored country for people who doesn’t want to depend on the state, fo those who believe that the tech evolution, depends only of the people, as also social relations, not on the state, not on bureaucracy.
