Not for Impossible Foods!
Impossible Foods launched this burger last year in NYC. Today they are available in various restaurants in California and in Nevada.
So what makes this burger different to other regular plant based burgers?
The secret ingredient is "heme". Heme is the compound in meat that gives meat its meaty taste. Impossible Foods found a way to extract heme from plants, which lead to an indistinguishable beef taste.
But why not just eat beef?
This burger is healthier, better for the environment and more animal friendly than red meat. Since it tastes like beef, I believe that the growing demand for healthier, more environmentally and animal friendly products will make this burger a tremendous success!
I have tried it myself last year in NYC and I was BLOWN AWAY!
Check out their website and if you live close to a restaurant that sells them, you should definitely go check it out: https://www.impossiblefoods.com/findus/
