As believers, we are obliged to perform prayers, at least 5 times in 1 day, because prayer is obligatory. But often among us still don't understand the essence or meaning of us performing these prayers.

Prayer is the second pillar of Islam after we express our faith in Allah SWT. In fact, in a hadith it is said that prayer is a pillar of religion. So, whoever among us performs prayers, God willing, that means we uphold Allah's religion. And who doesn't carry it out, that means we already want to destroy the religion of Allah.

Prayer is also said to be spiritual worship, as also physical. And where the benefits are not only for Allah, but also return to the servant himself.

Salat in Arabic, the original meaning is "to pray." So there is a verse which says, I translate this as meaning yes:

"Indeed, Allah and the angels pray for the prophet, O you who believe, pray for the prophet and say greetings of respect to him. [QS-Al-Ahzab : 56]

So it is called reading prayers for the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Even though the prophet Muhammad does not need us to pray for it, but when we often read prayers, the prophet Muhammad no longer needs our prayers, then the reward will return to those who read the prayers. When we send prayers to the prophet Muhammad, the prophet Muhammad is already full, roughly that's like a glass cup is full, it spills over the reader of the blessings. In fact, reciting prayers is also one of the pillars of tasyahud in prayer.

"Allahumma shalliala sayyidina Muhammad"

Must be read when tahyud, without shalawat, is invalid.

Well, then it becomes the terminology of the sharia. In terms of Islamic law, prayer is a work that begins with takbiratul ihram, ends with assalamu'alaikum warahmatullah.

Well, of course we all know that prayer is one of the pillars of Islam, number two after the shahada. So this prayer is how important, how great its value is for a Muslim, so that we truly become obedient people, whose truly faith and our Islam are strong.

Therefore, at minimum we are obliged to pray 5 times a day night, that is the minimum. And how important it is that we pray 5 times, to the extent that Allah will oblige the prophet Muhammad SAW, from all his people, to perform the prayer. This obligatory order until the prophet Muhammad SAW is called namely on the night of Isra' Mi'raj.

Apart from prayer, just order, the angel Gabriel came down, fasting, zakat, hajj, umrah. But specifically for prayer, the prophet who was called by Allah SWT, facing Allah SWT, on the night of Isra' Mi'raj, was required to pray 50 times a day night from the beginning. Then the prophet Muhammad SAW, was given advice by the prophet Moses, that 50 times were very tough, moreover the people of the prophet Muhammad were weak, unlike the people of the prophet Musa the children of Israel, they were stronger physically. Of course, it is very difficult to practice religion.

So, the Prophet Muhammad went back and forth...back and forth...to meet Allah SWT, if I'm not mistaken, that was up to 9 times, only 5 times a day remained.

So, this prayer must be valid according to Islamic requirements. Must perform ablution, must be pure from small hadast and large hadast.

If we have finished gathering with our wife, or dream of emitting seminal fluid yes, then we have to take a bath, it's called bathing jinabah, that's the order.

Likewise, if you have bathed in jinabah, you must perform ablution to remove small hadast.

There are very beautiful prayers with which we wash our body, our body members. Among other things, when we wash our face, we read the prayer which means:

"O Allah, whiten my face on the day the faces are white and the faces are black." (Prayer for ablution, washing the face).

That's the prayer, so that we should wash our faces, don't just wash our faces.

Then, as well as washing both hands, there is a prayer which means:

"O Allah, give me my book from the right side and count my deeds with easy calculations." (Prayer performing ablution washing hands).

Likewise, with washing your hair, there is also a prayer which means:

"O Allah, forbid our hair from the fire of hell." (Prayer performing ablution washing hair).

When you rub your ears, there is also a prayer, which means:

"O Allah, give our ears the ability to hear

hear Your call." (Prayer for ablution to wash your ears).

So, if the pious person will in the afterlife hear Allah's call. If people who are disbelievers, people who are not pious, are called they don't even listen. It's like being treated like that, huh?

When we wash our feet there is also a prayer which means:

"O Allah, steady my two feet when crossing the Sirotul mustaqim bridge." (Prayer for ablution washing feet).

Well, earlier I just explained that prayer is indeed the second pillar of Islam after we declare our faith in Allah SWT. We have to perform what is called prayer, but maybe among us including me to this day, we still perform prayer that is just to complete our obligations.

But actually, there are procedures, there are requirements that must be fulfilled first before we carry out these obligations. One of them is performing ablution.

But before performing ablution, we must also cleanse our body or ourselves from major hadas, namely by bathing jinabah.

OK, that's all my discussion today about prayer. Thank you for reading, hopefully you will get some benefits.

Greetings always compact.
