I'm glad to participate in this week's outdoor kitchen, this challenge brought back so many memories . I can remember one program in my church where the youth department went for jungle retreat, there we prepared food with fire in an open air, it was entertaining and fun .

1.Tell us about your experience with outdoor food, what do you like to prepare, do you enjoy the process.

I do outdoor food but occasionally, that's when my gas finishes or in a big occasion. Some people said outdoor food has it's own taste but I'm yet to differentiate the taste maybe I'm not a foodie. I'm sharing my experience in this particular outdoor food which I did in respect to this challenge. I can say it was fun . I have been enjoying meat grill but haven't tried doing it myself, the one I did today gave me a very delicious taste that is unexplainable. I will be preparing pinchos. Or known as Suya. And bread made with wheat flour.

. Prepare two of the 3 recipes explained in the course and present them creatively.

From what the teacher taught I will be preparing two things which are as follows.

Ingredients for my pinchos

  • Small potion of Cow meat (steak)
  • Fresh pepper
  • Salt
  • Seasoning cubes
  • Onion
  • Stick
  • Tomatoes

Direction for preparation (see pictures).

Written procedure

  • I washed the meat very well, cut it into square as directed by the teacher , then I seasoned it with salt and cube for teste .

  • I cut the onion and fresh pepper then put in the wooden stick along with the meat.

  • I set my fire and allowed it to make a brazier before I proceed to put the meat on it. Then it grilled gradually giving me the brownish dried colour that showed it was ready.

  • I turned the other part to also grill well. It was ready ,tasty and sweet then we have our pinchos or what we call Suya in Nigeria.

Procedures

  • Get flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
  • I gently add water until it give good dough that is not sticky to the hands.

  • I let it rest and rap it on the stick ready to be grilled.

  • I roll it around my wooden stick and let it rest for 15 minutes as directed by the teacher. My bread is ready .

Which of the recipes was the easiest and the most difficult for you? Why?

Making the grilled meat was my best, it was very easy and straightforward. I enjoyed the process because it's something I'm familiar with. The bread was a little difficult hence I didn't allow it to dough very well so that I can stretch well. But I finally did it though I will practice it next time on my own.

Which Steemians would you invite to eat your preparation and why? How would you invite them?

If I'm to invite a steemian,I will call on @uzma4882 because I know very well that women like chewables, I'm sure she is familiar with these two grills. I'm inviting her for this food because she is a good steemian that I met through this noble platform, she is a straight forward woman and as well a consistent steemian. Since she leaves very far away from me I will invite her through maybe sending her a token to buy it over there and probably make a post of the food showing that she have eaten it courtesy of @okere-blessing.

The assigned tasks must be illustrated with images and at the end a selfie with the dish ready.
