My wife tells me that I am one of the very few people she knows who can work from home successfully because I am 'a bit of a loner'. That's not strictly true though - my view is somewhat different and this is what I want I want to explore in this post.
Firstly, my wife doesn't actually know what I do; secondly, I am not a loner; and thirdly, being successful with working from home is all a matter of HOW you allocate your time.

My wife doesn't actually know what I do
Well ... my interests and my income stem from a a wide range of sources from a community-building program I have put together through to ghostwriting and teaching people how to write logical argumentative essays (and many other streams of income). So, when people ask my wife "what I do", she has great difficulty in telling them.
I am not a loner
I am an introvert which means that I am "more" comfortable alone than with lots of people. But ... I love being with people, just not all the time. It is through other people, and being part of a community, that gives me the inspiration to do my work and to create new programs that benefit others. So no, I am not a loner.

Being successful with working from home is all a matter of HOW you allocate your time
Working from home is all about balance, so the allocation of time is absolutely critical. As discussed in one of my previous articles on Steemit: https://steemit.com/business/@drrobertmuller/working-in-paradise-my-second-office, I spend every lunchtime, and a larger part of some days in my nearby National Park forest area. This is where I do some of my most creative work. But ... and this is the key ... I wouldn't be able to do my work if I wasn't constantly engaged in conversation with other people. So, I very deliberately invite someone I know to a coffee shop twice a week for an extended coffee/discussion and sometimes lunch.
But you see, I work from home, so this is MY choice - and it brings me a lot of joy and inspiration.
