If you’re using your internet marketing incomes to enjoy the digital nomad lifestyle, you’re a lucky person – but let’s face it, it’s not all sunshine and pristine white beaches – something the glossy brochures and glowing reports often fail to mention.
One of the biggest things that can affect you is writer’s block, especially if you’re looking to break into the digital nomad niche. One skill you need to master here is travel writing, and particularly describing the environment you’re in.
That’s no easy feat, as you’ve probably already discovered. But fear not, because you can beat writer’s block with just three simple steps.
First, always take notes. Your brain is a sieve, and it will forget little ideas and details. Carrying around a little notepad lets you capture them and act on them when you have time. It’s the equivalent of a photographer always having his camera – and you should have that, too. Be prepared when inspiration hits, or if you get an awesome quote.
Speaking of carrying a camera as well, this is huge part of travel: collecting memories. Travel isn’t just about the beach: it’s about the things that happen. Little memories can be encapsulated in an otherwise drab photograph, and it’s from that you can weave a blog article about a visit to a town that goes into the spirit of the area itself, rather than another dull post about what to see and do.
Finally, when you’re writing the stories, just seek the uniqueness of it. What amazed you (or frustrated and disappointed you)? Humans are natural-born storytellers. No matter what the event, if you can create a story, you’ll have a post.
Writer’s block is only a thing in your head if you let it be: so beat it with a story that’s all about the experience!
Thank you for your valuable contribution
