With more and more people on their smartphones, more and more are using them to help with every day life. That includes making purchasing decisions, getting information, and even paying. Fact is, that you need to ensure that all your content has been optimized for mobile.

If it isn’t, then you’re going to lose some 69% of your audience. Ouch. Turns out that almost 70% of the population is now accessing their online content from a smartphone, not from a desktop, and you need to stay on top of this trend.

The numbers reveal a lot more: some 41m people in the US exclusively use their mobile devices to access the internet, and that number is set to grow. Don’t ask why, just remember that you need to be accessible to them in order to make sales.

One of the easiest ways to reach out to this group is with your own apps, although it’s not completely necessary. Just ensuring that your website is responsive and that you’re designing visual content around the small screen as much as the big screen will go an awful long way here.
