Elon Musk is making good on another promise.
Tesla has obtained a permit for a first-of-its-kind concept in Santa Monica, CA. The project will feature a drive-in restaurant and Supercharger station, according to the Los Angeles Times. Musk first raised the prospect in a January tweet. He then joked he was “gonna put an old-school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA.”
Tesla has been criticized for offering no activities at its SuperCharger stations. There are now over 1,100 SuperCharger locations in the U.S.
Musk has made no comment if other restaurant/SuperCharger stations will be built.
