UIN AR-RANIRY Banda Aceh was selected as the host of scientific, sports, art and research week (PIONIR) VIII in 2017. In the two-year event, UIN AR AR-RANIRY volleyball team won the third prize (bronze). It was held in Jasdam, NEUSU.
The array of players including, Wahyudi (Allround), Ilman (lebero), Nuriadi (Allround), Renaldi Tobo (Allround), Ozi (Open Spike), Samsul (Quicker), Muntasyir (Setter), Nasroel (Open Spike), Syahril ( Allround), Musawir (Allround), Priest (Setter).
