In 1965 Indonesia was stunned with the discovery of diamonds weighing 166 carats in the river Tiung, Banjarbaru. The large pink diamond is estimated to be worth Rp 10 trillion.
On August 26, 1965, a group of diamond miners led by Matsan found the world's largest supposed diamond after digging for months in an oxygen-poor hole. The diamond was then brought to Jakarta by the district government to be handed over to President Soekarno. By President Soekarno diamond is then given the name Trisakti. Not long ago, broke the G30S event.
According to the miners' confession, they were given a cash advance of Rp 200 million, and will be paid off after the government gets the price estimate from the experts. The money is then distributed to 25 miners and their families. After made salvation, about 80 people miners and their families then leave the pilgrimage with the money.
Now after decades the miners are suing the government to pay the diamond payment of Rp 10 trillion. The lawsuit was officially filed in 2017. Now Trisakti's diamond is unknown, after being taken to the Netherlands for scrutiny by experts.
