One of the paradigmatic principles of this system is the divorce established between society and nature. For this divorce is thought that nature has been given to men to be used to free will, is there for them to extract what they require, is a simple instrument in the hands of such men.

In this thinking, nature contains mere resources, be they forests, animals, mines, waters, soils, etc .; of all can be arranged without restrictions. One of the defenders of such a divorce and such a belief was Francis Bacon back in the seventeenth century, at the dawn of capitalist modernity. This French thinker said that nature had to be tortured in order to extract its wise interior. Since then, nature has been treated as a mechanical body, as a thing, as a rough instrument that must be beaten to adore it and put it at the service of man.

On the other hand, the schools and universities have been in charge of convincing us that this way of thinking about nature is supported by scientific principles, with which that formulation has taken root more firmly in people's thinking and acquired the status of a paradigm. by which all our beliefs and concepts are sifted.
