Well, we grew up with the dragons with Makar Sankranti and ate delicious sweets or laddus. The dragons that loom in the sky made us smile. Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great joy and passion. It is mainly a harvest festival in which Surya, the sun god, is the predominant deity. He is also considered as Maghi, associated with Surya, the deity of the sun. The festival will be held on the special sunny day of January (January 14)
This festival is dedicated to the spring season. The Sanskrit word "Makar" corresponds to the sun sign of Capricorn and "Sankranti" means "Kranti", which means the movement or transmission of the sun from one zodiac to another. The planet Sun begins in the north and enters the zodiac sign "Makar" (Capricorn) of the Tropic of Cancer. And this movement or transmission is celebrated as Makar Sankranti every year. This is the only time that the days and nights are the same after this day, the days are longer than the nights.
Written service:
On this day, it is said that Surya, the sun god, visits his sun, Shani (Saturn), who heads the ibex. According to ancient writings, Surya and Shani had a bitter relationship. Despite the differences, the Father in Compassion visits his son that day. When a father visits his son today, all differences are resolved and the family is found.
According to Mahabharata, the grandfather of the Kuru dynasty (Bhishma) decided to leave his body at the feast of Uttarayana (Makar Sankranti); When the deity of the Sun Surya moved north after six months of Dakshina. The six months of Uttarayan are considered auspicious and the people who die during this period obtain salvation. On the other hand, those who leave in the months of "Dakshyinayana" must be reborn to death in one of the six months of Uttarayan, the day.
What should you do today?
Common practices include making sweets and performing Makar Sankranti puja vidhi or rituals. This ritual, or puja, is significant because it eliminates the evil effects of Saturn and the Sun. It also eliminates Shani Dosha and Surya Dosha if that is done that day.
You can also do Surya Mantra Japa that day. Why? The sun is the giver of life, vitality, and strength. It remains in each zodiac for a month and, therefore, lasts a year to complete the zodiac. When the Sun is weaker on the map, you become haughty, stubbornly stubborn, self-centered and disapproving of anything that is against your belief system. That is why it is important to please God on this day.
