Means of transport produced in the Czech republic

Hello Steemitians,

as you probably know, the Czech republic most famous brand is the car producer Skoda. Except the cars with winged arrow there are plants producing Hyunday, Toyota, Citroen and Peugeot. One of the smallest but may be coolist company has name Kaipan. You can buy their roadster taken to pieces and set it up at your garage like a construction kit! (link: http://www.kaipan.cz/modely/)

In 2016 was the Czech republic the second biggest car producer per capita (1,344 millions of cars per 10,565 millions of inhabitants), the higher rate is only in Slovakia.

The truck producer Tatra had existencial problems few years ago. In 2013 restructuralisation process was started and now the sales are succesfully increasing. This company has very long tradition: first car "President" was produced there in 1897. At the same time it also was the first car made in Austro-Hungarian empire. First lorry was built there in 1898 and it was the first lorry in the world!

Another traditional producer of lighter lorries, Avia, should re-new the production of vehicles this autumn.

In the Czech repubic you can find companies producing bikes, motorbikes (Jawa, Blata - minibikes and scooters), buses (Iveco - former Karosa, SOR), airplanes (Let Aircraft Industries), tramways, locomotives, underground and wagonlits (all in Skoda Transportation), vessels in shipyard Decin or hot-air baloons (Kubicek balloons with its seat in Brno).

My town Brno has also one well-known company - Zetor Tractors (of course, we cannot count tractors among means of transport). The company was established in 1945. Its models from the first one upto present you can see in their company museum - Zetor Gallery.

při psaní anglické verze jsem zjistil, že se v Česku snad kromě kosmických lodí a říditelných vzducholodí vyrábějí všechny možné dopravní prostředky. Je u nás zastoupená výroba jízdních kol, motocyklů, osobních a nákladních vozů, tramvají, lokomotiv a vagonů, vozů metra, traktorů (které se asi nedají počítat mezi dopravní prostředky), plavidel, letadel nebo horkovzdušných balónů. Těší mě, že po více či spíše méně úspěšných turbulencích spojených s privatizací státních podniků, nakonec zůstaly české značky zachovány (kromě zkrachovalé Liazky a přejmenované Karosy, kde ale výroba běží dál). Nakonec se zdá, že i značka Avia bude dál existovat. Už jsou vyrobeny prototypy nových vozů a jejich výroba by se měla v nově postaveném závodě v Přelouči rozběhnout tento podzim.
