in busy •  6 years ago

So this is the Summit that @flabbergast-art was talking about in Bayawan. In coordination with sweep.ph, as well as their speakers joining them from Manila, the local government units and its' leaders and creatives have come together for this Summit.

More fish, not Plastics

Here you go folks! Here's another of @walkofhope' advocacies that we have been pushing for ever since our artists have come together doing coastal clean-ups in Bayawan with sweep.ph. Not to mention of them joining the gathering of artists and creatives all over the country last June in Danjugan Island.

Here's some photos for today:

@walkofhope's bamboo crafts/indigenous instruments at the Summit

@flabbergast-art and #tataydagsa did perform today but their photos are not available. I can show you some of their recent activities with sweep.ph:

July clean-up in Bayawan

June seminar in Danjugan island

Their recent exposure in Silliman University involved a zero waste seminar, together with the creatives of Bayawan. Let it be known that #tataydagsa for his part toured the country twice in a bicycle and a driftwood scooter for his own advocacy "Share the road, clean the air". This is one reason why his group in Bayawan started creating bamboo bikes.

This bring values to people not to throw trash at the ocean.

And everywhere kuya. Did you see those recently in Roxas blvd??

Yes Ate @immarojas, in the news kapag may bagyo.
Cleaning the beaches is like the macrophages cleaning a smoker's lung. The root cause must be eliminated like the houses living near the river, they are the no.1 cause as well as the factories dumping in the river and the trash ends up in the ocean.

Great selection of photographs by @flabbergast-art. Looks like they are really getting the word out there.

Nicely put together @immarojas. I hope you and your mum are having a good day. 😊

She is more alert Gillian thanks..but still being watched in the intensive care.

Nice event.
I like the idea of bamboo bikes

They are being used now in Bayawan and being shown on cultural trade fairs.

A good start in order to help clean up our environment.

Education plays a big impact locally and internationally. Some people throw away their trash inappropriately, no self-discipline.

Yes, most of my neighbors are that way. No discipline at all.

It's not that they can't see what's happening. But they don't care.

Espero puedan poder controlar la presencia del Plástico en las Playas de Philippines por el bien de todos @immarojas. Gran trabajo de @walkofhope ayudando a la Ecología Mundial

Thanks..we help what we can.
