Are you in Drug Wars?

There's a new game on the Steem platform. It seems like it's taking over the gaming world. I just noticed today that it rose up to number two on State of the Dapps.

That's huge!

State of the Dapps isn't just about Steem Dapps, it's about every blockchain.

You'll notice that it says all platforms.

In fact, three Steem Dapps are in the top five.

I've been messing around with some of the Ethereum based Dapps lately, like God's Unchained, and let me tell you.... Installing metamask is not that difficult but actually using it is a pain in the butt.

Metamask not only uses transaction fees but also transaction times. It's so much faster playing Steem Monsters than God's Unchained, and in the long run I think it's going to be a lot cheaper too and a lot more fun.

We're talking about Drug Wars though. Drug Wars offers something that no other game on the blockchain offers at this point. The ability to actually form your own drug gang. If you look on Discord you'll see some of your favorite Steemians on there, pimping their gangs.

I know some of the functionality is not actually there, but the team is working on it. This is one of the only games I've seen that has potential to give a positive ROI right out the gate.

At this point it seems that there are essentially two facets to the game. Building buildings, and building troops.

Each building produces a different substance.

Drugs.

Weapons.

Alcohol.

Drugs will immediately start paying you in Steem. That's right. Every single day you will get a payment based on the percentage of the drugs that you produce. If you start producing drugs right away, you will start receiving Steem right away.

However, each building requires a certain number of drugs, weapons, and alcohol to be built. The more buildings you build, the more weapons and alcohol you are also going to need. Therefore in addition to building drugs you will probably need to build some weapons and alcohol too.

Here's the big question. Does this game offer a positive ROI in addition to the potential for fun that it includes?

At this point I'm going to give a big YES.

About 7 days ago I put 66 Steem into this game.

Everyday I have received approximately 5 Steem. At this rate I will get a positive ROI in about 6 more days. It is true that the rate of Steem I'm getting is going down very slightly. It may be more like 10 days, but I have no doubt that I will get a positive ROI.

Remember that drugs are the thing that give you Steem.

As far as I can tell the best thing to upgrade is the Cocina, and the the Pharmaceutical Lab. If you upgrade the Cocina a couple of times, and the Pharmaceutical lab a couple of times, you are very likely to receive a positive ROI within a couple of weeks.

It is possible that this will change because no one can see that far into the future.

However, at this rate I can only see people continuing to put money into the game. It's a great game after all. As long as people put money into the game payouts will continue in the same fashion.

Of course, it's not just about the ROI.

This game has a ton of players and a ton of potential.

Battles are disabled right now, but once they are re-enabled you'll be able to do things like buy troops, defend your base, attack other players, and have simply a lot of fun.
