Driving during the holidays.steemCreated with Sketch.

I just got home from having lunch with a friend at one of my favorite local Mexican restaurants.

The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. All in all it was a great lunch.

On the way home I couldn't help but notice how much traffic there was today. I guess the reason for all the extended traffic is due to the holidays. Perhaps people are coming into town, or even leaving town.

I couldn't help but notice a young lady driving rather recklessly. She cut someone off and nearly caused a four car pileup.

Just as she cut someone off she pulled onto a side street, and I was able to look into the driver side mirror to see what she was all about.

She was a blonde teenager with a bow in her hair. She appeared to be a cheerleader or something similar. She was dancing and bopping around to music in her car without a care in the world. She was completely oblivious. She didn't even know that she had almost caused an accident.

As I continued on my way I encountered another incident.

A car that was stopped at an intersection decided to move over to the right hand lane. However, there were several other cars in the right hand lane going about 40 miles per hour. So this car starts to move over to the right hand lane without looking.

The driver was very lucky that they were able to stop at just the right moment, because there was only a millimeter between them and the car that they nearly struck.

The holiday's can be a good time.

We listen to music and we have a lot of fun doing a variety of different things. That doesn't mean that we can take our eyes off the road. We are all on this planet together and we need to ensure each other's safety by not driving recklessly.

It's a cold dark holiday season. People's mood has been the same.

Roundhere and I were joking how grumpy everyone is right now.

Merry Fucking Christmas Spirit! haha. All in fun.

Yep, continue to keep our eyes on the road.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!! I've given you an upvote and left you this amazing automated comment!!

What has happened to the mindset of drivers like that? I live in a small town in California and I agree that there are a lot more cars on the road and from out of town. Patience I guess i the key to stay out of harms way.
