Hi friends, I'm going to tell you a story about what can happen with greed:
This was two baker sisters who made delicious breads. All the loaves that they made were bought by Mrs. Isabel, she was very rich and owned several bakeries all over the country. But while Dona Isabel was getting richer, the baker sisters were getting poorer.
One day, the bakeries asked Doña Isabel to pay more for their bread. But Dona Isabel refused.
-If you want to earn more money, work more, he told them.
They did that. But after so much work, the bakery fell ill. For several weeks they could hardly work. When Doña Isabel went to see them to pick up her request, she got very angry when she saw that nothing was finished. Made a fury I claim to shouted:
-I'm going to lose a lot of money this month because of you! They are vague. They're going to ruin me!
Maria, the older sister, got up as best she could and said:
-You know what I'm saying, Dona Isabel. I'm sorry for your loss. We, on the other hand, have not lost much, because there is not much we gain from this. So from now on we are the ones who are not going to work for you.
The neighbors, who had gathered around the house upon hearing what Maria said, began to applaud.
When the sisters recovered they decided to sell the loaves on their own. And because their bread was so good, people took it from their hands.
His business became famous and, little by little, all the bakers who made loaves for Doña Isabel when they found out about those that had happened decided to follow the example of the two sisters.
And that's how Doña Isabel was left alone, with no one to work for her, until she was ruined.
María and her sister now live much happier, because their work is not only better paid, but also because they are respected and admired by all.
What I learned from this story is that we should value people and respect them. Especially the people who work with/for us.
This is very nice. Thanks for sharing this. Please what country are you from?
