First day of Fiestas Falleras in Gandia.
After a year of craftsmanship, the Fallas monuments are already adorning the streets of Gandia.
The music bands play their songs entertaining their passers-by and the falleros that parade through the streets.
2 o'clock in the afternoon is the time of mascletá. A show of musical noise, rhythm and gunpowder.
Very soon the Fallas monuments will receive their prizes, the falleros will make their paella contests and the streets will be filled with rows of falleros and falleras that bring flowers to the patron saint, the Virgen de los Desamparados.
