There is something unraveling in "Ithaqa"... This is a great comic in-the-making by @drwatson, inspired by Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos and introducing new horrors, like the Threaded Man, an aspect of a deity beyond dimensions, lurking where the strings of space and time meet. For more information check out @drwatson's steem-blog, or the comic's site.

I was fascinated by the concept of this Great Old One, and for some time I was seeing him (it?) everywhere in the fractals I was making, for example here and here. This is a bunch of dreams based on my rendition of the Threaded Man, made with the help of the Deep Dream Generator.

love the one on top - maybe fractals, ever changing, are the best way to depict "The Old One" - a being beyond our dimension and beyond comprehension. Like in a CAT scan, we can only see a slice of the whole.

I just checked your Deep Dream Gallery - first time again in a long time .
great work - it seems on some you are mixing your own fractals.

Thank you very much for your comment & support.

I agree, fractals can be eerie and other-worldly, missing beginning and end, just like the Lovecraftian deities: they manifest in our reality as kaleidoscopic images shifting through dimensions, we can only perceive a projection of their wholeness on a lower-order space. I was fascinated by Lovecraft's concept, so original and futuristic coming from a man leading a very conservative and xenophobic life -- but then, perhaps this deep-rooted phobia was what fueled his imagination with "indescribable alien horrors".

Thank you, much appreciated.

very nice

Certainly looks eldritch to me, like a creature or a presence beyond the seen dimensions, threading and threaded. A very interesting piece, and its iterations show its different faces <3 Wonderful !
