I had a Saturday evening out with a friend and we said YEAH to super spicy Chongqing hotpot. Look at red colour in the pot and you can feel the intense heat sparkled by Chongqing spices. I cannot really tell Chongqing and Sichuan hotpot apart. One thing in common, I cannot feel my lips because of the spices.
My friend doesn't stand the heat much, and I was thoughtful enough to get my friend a fish broth (the small pot in the middle) for hotpot.
We shared eel, veggies, radish, bean curd, shrimp paste and mushrooms. I had myself some pork and my friend had some beef (I don't eat beef at all).
Before we said goodbye to each other, we talked a wee bit and had some drinks at a lounge to end the night.
At the lounge, I saw Sheffield Wednesday's Carlton Palmer drinking there and chilling out with mates, but I didn't disturb him at all. Some ex-England internationals are now playing the football sevens in Hong Kong.
