I thought this community frowns at being bold about asking for following. It's extremely necessary but it's done codedly. You create quality content and then drop a footage about follow, upvote etc. Maybe I might be wrong somehow.
Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

Your right in a way however pointless creating content until you have people following else no one will see it. Try putting a post up and then refresh page see where you end up just using my initiative no ones said anything and seems to be working. However thank you for feedback
