(32.76) Khaleda Zia's advice to not go without the BNP secretary general
Party's secretaries have advised BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia not to go outside the election. In the afternoon of Sunday (July 22nd), at the central office of Nayapaltan, the advisory was given in a meeting with the Standing Committee of the party for one and a half hours. Many leaders present in the meeting told this information to the Bangla Tribune.
Many members of the party's editor told the Bengali Tribune that we should not go to the elections keeping Khaleda Zia out of the election. Because the grassroots leaders and activists of the party will be frustrated if the party chief gets elected without the elections. It will also have adverse reactions in the voters. As a result, he will be free to take part in the election.
When asked about the BNP's joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, told the Bangla Tribune, "All the leaders of the secretariat agreed that BNP should not participate in the next election except Khaleda Zia. Everyone argued in this regard. However, the standing committee leaders did not speak in the meeting.
BNP's self-reliant affairs secretary Shirin Sultana told the Bengali Tribune, "The meeting discussed recent political issues. But one thing we all agreed on is that before Khaleda Zia will be released. Then you have to think about taking part in the next election. '
Two leaders of Sylhet and Rajshahi regions said that recently the committee of Jatiyatabadi Dal, Juba Dal and Swechchasebak Dal has been given the committees of different district units. But when giving these committees, there was no communication or coordination with the BNP leaders responsible for the respective districts. Those who have been campaigning for a long time and have been admitted to the movement, they have not been placed in these committees. They were not involved with the movement, but they were given positions in many places in exchange for money. That is, those who were active in the struggle for the movement were frustrated. As a result, many problems arising from the successful movement of the party in different districts. Therefore, in all the districts where the committee is yet to remain, the BNP's Standing Committee urged the committee to co-ordinate with the responsible leaders of the district and give the committee's editorial leaders.
In this context, BNP organizing secretary Shama Obaid told the Bangla Tribune, "The leaders of the secretaries advised to continue the ongoing peaceful movement to demand the release of Khaleda Zia next day. But for the sake of the movement, the districts and groups of the organization's organization organization organization, the rest of the districts have been requested to form a committee.
An organizational secretary unwilling to disclose the name said, "I said that Dhaka City BNP played the most role in any movement. But BNP has failed to make repeated efforts to create movement since 2013. There are disputes within the party with the 25 police stations of Dhaka Metropolitan Northern BNP declared on June 3 and 58 wards. It should be resolved quickly. '
