Today, I found that I am ranked as approximately the 34,526 most popular person on Steemit.
I really don't know if I deserve this many followers or not. But it's always nice to see that you can command a big chunk of attention, and now you certainly have grabbed my attention with your large numbers!! Wow! Super! I'm loving it! LOL.
This makes me wonder, do I really want to be popular? I guess the only telling answer to this is your numbers. It seems I do like them getting bigger, I'm not sure why, like a kid who tells you he doesn't know why he wants all the toys in the toy store.
Anyway, what is definitely keeping me on Steemit is not firstly my love of your numbers but the fact that what my writings on this platform are truely valued. It makes me feel good to see that my written voice has value. I rise in appreciation of this by providing what I feel is the best value that I can deliver, on a daily basis now.

Interestingly, if I managed to earn such a great amount, it's not due mostly to you, my dearest followers but instead to @guyfawkes4-20 He is not even a follower of mine but he is rather an ocd curator and he picked my post for resteem and it is the followers of the @ocd that delivered my crypto fortune, not my own followers.
So am I being followed mostly by a bunch of poor guys? It would seem so. I sure hope to turn things around in the new year so that I can describe you all as my super motivators here on Steemit. Well, that sounds like a challenging program. I just might be up to this! I certainly want to think of my supporters as the best there is. It's a better reflection of me, I think.
So for now, I will thank all my supporters and not the ocd team and supporters who don't follow me. I somehow realized recently, in an epiphany, that what matters most is not the amount of Steem that you have but the amount of followers that you have because that speaks of how much you value an audience, and according to my value system, this matters more.

Hey man, I only saw this post now. That's awesome, congrats. I recommend you to set up the goal of making that number 10X now, 200 is not that much actually. Strive for more, and you will get there.
I am really glad that you enjoy Steem as it is since most people that come in here only want to make huge money. Your posts are great, and you do deserve more, good luck. :)

Thanks guyfawkes4-20. It's an interesting goal you suggest here and I'm certainly on to it. 2000 followers would make me about the 1350 most popular Steemians. That would mean a big jump from my current position at about 32000.
That would be seriously ambitious.
I generally see money as the source of all evils and so it's not what is keeping me here. But that's the subject of another Steem post. What's keeping me here is the very decentralized way things are done here. Anarchy seems to work here!!
