Distinctive Windows in Tudor City

As you may know, I started the tag Distinctive doors as I am always looking out for doors that stand out, but you may or may not be aware of a tag created by @melinda010100 Distinctive Windows where you showcase cool windows you may come across for us all to see.
Its a tag I have to admit I have been a bit slack with using, but when I saw some Windows in Tudor city last week I had to get shots of them and join her challenge

Tudor City is is an apartment complex located Between First and Second Avenues between 40th and 43rd Streets/
Construction on it started in 1927 making it one of the first residential Skycrapers in the world.
There are a total of 15 buildings that compromise Tudor City and they have a really cool look and feel, including some windows that stand out such as these stained glass windows

These windows are either side of the door into one of the Tudor city complex, such a grand style to this entrance i think

And these are the windows on the other sid eof the doorway

Love, love this building...the windows are unbelievable @tattoodjay. The time and energy taken to create something so detailed, amazing. And to see they have stood the test of time, weather, humans, really crazy. Love that door, what a beast, definitely a statement. Great photos my friend :)

Thanks I do love walking round Tudor city is is such a cool and interesting area

I love stained glass windows, and this is such a lovely building too. There are many beautiful stained glass windows around where I live, and I keep meaning to do a post on them.

I do love them as well, I hope one day you will do a post on the Stained glass windows there

Those remind me of the windows at my church. We have quite the variety of stained glass colors. They are just squares though, they don't make a picture or anything like some stained glass windows do.

Thats where i have sene stained glass windows mostly on churches, I must make a point of gettign some shots of some of them here

Not unlike church windows....

Yes very much like church windows

Tattoo so beautiful. I love old stain glass
I love the way you captured the brick or ceramic.
Those doors must have been the style there are som on a Jewish Church here.

Thanks I love this entrance to the building I have often said if I was to live in tudor city it would have to be in this building

Oh Wow! I love this JJ. We tried our hands long ago to make stained glass windows, but screwed up with the processes and packed it up as a bad job. The windows are so full of character!
Blessings!

I have never tried it, I would love to but I am not that good at hand son Projects like that so no Doubt I would have the same result if I was to try

Nice design Windows photography.

Thanks kindly Have a great day

Howdy JJ! wow those are gorgeous and classic! I doubt if they make windows like that anymore, certainly not for apartment buildings!

indeed you are so right modern buildings may be technical engineering feats but they dont have the style of old buildings like these

yes, especially that style on an apartment building, churches yes, old ones that is. Someone must have been trying to make that to be one classy apartment complex!

Tudor city sure has such a cool style to it, If I was ever to live in the city it would be there

oh really JJ? Because it is in a quiet little niche but is close to everything? and because of the style of course.

the most popular spots are more midtown, near to everything Tudor city is by the east River, but it has such a charm to it, at least from the outside, the only time I have been into oone of the buildings there was to a dentist, and I hate dentist visits so i really did not pay much attention to how nice it is indoors

haha! yeah dentist visits are not my favorite thing to do either! I get nervous even if it's just a simple check up!

I am exactly the same going in for angioplasty I was so relaxed and calm, joking around, but going to a dentist even just a check up I am so quiet and nervous, kind of weird I guess but I think we are not in a minority for feeling that way
