لوسيفر (ابليس) هو ملاك سقط من السماء ا(لذي يلعب دوره الممثل Tom Ellis) وتم تعيينه كملك للحجيم الا أن شعر بالملل والضجر ليقرر التقاعد من منصبه ليفتح ملهى ليلي في لوس أنجلوس بعنوان LUX, ولكن تنقلب الأحداث بعد وفاة مغنية بوب شابة أمام الملهى ليوقظ شيء في لوسيفر قد مات منذ 10 مليار سنة, هل هو العاطفة أم الرحمة؟ فيبدأ لوسيفر بالتفكير فيها ويطلب مساعدة صديقته Mazikeen أو Maze وهي شيطانه شرسه على هيئة فتاة جميلة (تمثلها Lesley-Ann Brandt) وتلفت القضية أنظار الشرطة LAPD خاصه المحققة Chloe Dancer التي تفتن بقدرات Lucifer في قدرته على استخلاص أسرار الناس وكونه يرغب في تحقيق العدالة والذي يجعله يفكر في روحه الضائعه والتي بدأت تعشق تلك المحققة وسط طلب الآله من لوسيفر للعودة وحكم الحجيم مرة أخرى حيث قاموا بارسال ملاك Amenadiel ليقنع لوسيفر بالعودة!
